Yellow spice works fine for making changa.

So does-

White spice, Orange spice, Red spice and anything in between.

You can indeed disslve it in acetone and add to your herb of choice.

You can also use-

Naphtha, bestine, ethanol, or IPA above 90%, 100% anhydrous being the best choice.

Swim preffers everclear honestly.... Or IPA.
Swim has also noticed that good ol fashioned yellow spice is much stronger Changa.

I was curious about using absinthe. it is 110 proof, but more expensive. would the wormwood even add anything to it or am i just over thinking this?

Spice is Spice.
There is no such thing as impure spice!
In Australia, and in some parts of the worlds, the real old timers know that the best DMT is the gummy, oily, red stuff, which has an assortment of crazy and varied alkaloids in it that provide much magic and depth.

As well, many believe that the associated alkaloids and so called "impurities" may in fact help the human body assimilate and deal with smoking these alkaloids from the tree.

yes, clear, pure DMT has a certain charm, but it is by no means the holy grail of tryptamine products!
