Inspirational Scientific literature. Any Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend any scientific (Chemistry) literature? I really enjoy my science and am struggling to find well written literature. I find that a lot is written in a very complicated, or monotonous way. So if anyone has any good suggestions, I would be eternally grateful. :d :d :d
