 Hello, im Al[ex].I last night came across this forum whilst searching 'DMT' and omg this is such a wonderful forum. It seems unlike an other I have ever seen, In this I mean peoples open mindness, and general respect for others.

I'll skip the 'all about me' part.... Ive only recently been experimenting with drugs as im sure like most of you, im always wondering what something is like, Life is about experiences.
I have only ever tried weed, nitrous, Mepthedrone, Methylone, Butylone. However theses are simply every once in a while ie once a month, and are simply recreational.
Whilst these are good they are used just like alcohol, and its not an 'experience' it all seem artificial.

I live my life respecting others, and I always try to put others before myself, to be honest I thrive on other peoples happyness. In return I hope that this doing 'good' attitude will in some way make me feel more fulfilled, and very slowly but surely will succeed in whatever life challenges me with.

I do not yet believe in any religions, however I still find them very fascinating. Im more of a 'well you gotta prove it first' kinda person. Hence leaning towards science.

I am so very glad that I have come across such a great forum, Somewhere to share your views and not feel intimidated, and without people thinking " wtf, thats such a shitty idea"

I dont know about yourselves but im my 'circle' of friend I cant always get into deep convo with them about things like "the meaning of life", "the universe"..... As much as I love my friend I cannot connect with them on a 'higher' level, These topics to them are simply not to be discussed, and are always shrugged off.

Ive always been a curious person, and alway need to know how things work and why things work, without knowing these I cannot fully understand nor accept what I am TOLD. I think this is why I struggled at maths as when given a formular, I could easily use that formular to bash out an answer, yet when I ask why do we use this formular, why does it work, why do it this way I'd get an answer along the lines of, "just because...don't get too deep.... you just do" which doesn't help.

So a quick summary, Im looking to explore, open, widen,my mind. I have questions which might be fulfilled. DMT might be my answer, At the very least it will be a 'life experience'.

I am not ready for DMT yet, I do not wish to rush into my first experience, I shall be searching around this forum for many months before I start psychedlics. I will warn you, I am having to take some of the thing I read with a 'pinch of salt' as this is just my logical side kicking in. Its not ignorance, ive just not yet experience what you lot have.

I will be around posting the odd bit here and there, I have a TEK which I would like reviewing, and many many other questions.

I know that I sound like im taking a lot out, but in due course I hope that I will put my own little bit in.

Again ive used 'I' ALOT, which is something which I dont normally do, but it is my intro....

If you've read this far then well done to you, If you've skipped to the end well I dont blame you {lazy f**ker}.

Take care, Al :d

edit- so glad I re-read that lot, was alot of mistakes :/ __\,\,\,';,,;' \,\,\,__

Welcome to the forum.

I too tend to be a rational, scientific, “empirical” type of thinker, and all I can say is this: It is quite probable that DMT will change your beliefs. Beliefs about the nature of self and consciousness, about mind/body relationships, about the existence and nature of an afterlife, about life, death, love, eternity… You get the picture.

And to those who claim that DMT isn’t a sacred key that opens the door to an immaterial realm, I would say that the only reason they don’t believe this is because they haven’t yet had the necessary belief-changing experiences.

I had the same feeling when I submitted my intro. But you only get one post like that, so it better be a proper introduction. :) take care and welcome, fellow space traveler.

Cant find a multi-quote button so.....

ragabr- Whats the name of the artist whos in your avatar?

gibran2- after experiencing DMT were you able to use a rational, scientific point of view to accept these beliefs. Or does one have to 'let go' of this.

DrAcai- Thanks for the reply, glad im not the only one.

Interesting question. I guess I still maintain a scientific viewpoint, but I understand that science has severe limits. There are mysteries that science will never, and can’t ever, explain.

I don’t believe in hocus-pocus or magic or anything like that. But I also find the reality of some (not all) of my experiences to be very self-evident. There is a connection between our physical realm and the eternal immaterial realm I’ve seen via DMT, and if we understood “the big picture” this connection could (maybe?) be explained scientifically. For now, and maybe forever, it is beyond human understanding. On one of my first deep breakthroughs, the first thought that occurred to me while witnessing what I was witnessing was, “We (human beings) don’t know ANYTHING”.

Some people believe that “it’s all in our heads” – just the effect of a chemical on our brains. Undeniably, that’s partly true. DMT is a chemical (a very special chemical) that effects how our brains function, but how does science explain the nature of the DMT experience? Many DMT experiences involve visiting other places – places that are incredibly detailed and consistent, yet completely alien. Alien not in a “space alien” sort of way, but alien in an “I have never seen anything even closely resembling this and it’s beyond my wildest imagination” sort of way.

So what’s real? What’s a hallucination? What are we really? Where are we really? These are the sorts of questions DMT use might bring up for you. But don’t expect any answers!

In the end, all we have is our conscious thoughts and perceptions, and our beliefs.

I can't recall putting that there! Thought I just wrote SW, over the bridge I assume you mean Wales.

that's the one. Nothing like having good neighbours! look forward to hearing more as you explore. Good luck
