Misconception Liberation
Hello friends, this is an intro to the story of a guy named Grant and his relationship with psychedelics. For most of his life, Grant remained a victim to the misconception of the alleged "dangers" of certain psychoactive substances. One day Grant encountered evidence that supported the contrary. Appalled that he may have bought into a huge lie, Grant looked deeper into the matter by watching documentaries and reading books about cannabis, psilocybin-containing mushrooms, LSD, DMT etc. His search for answers brought him insight not only on the honest effects of these substances but also the history of their use and legality which has provided context for better understanding of the current situation and status of these controlled substances.
Presented with scientific evidence that contradicts the disinformation Grant was raised to believe, Grant felt that he had to experience first-hand the effects of a psychoactive substance in order to see the truth himself.
After about a month of thinking and planning, Grant has all the supplies and time needed to ingest cannabis. During this time, Grant imagines how the experience will be like. At first he thinks he'll see enhancements in colors or possibly hallucinate, but later on attempts to abandon his expectations. Grant focuses on letting whatever is going to happen, happen.
Grant doesn't experience anything out of the ordinary on his first few attempts, however he is persistent, and eventually has his moment of truth.
It hits him gradually. The sense of feeling around the skin through out his body slowly changes. When at it's full magnitude, he feels as if there are multiple layers of anti-gravitational fluid immediately beneath and above his skin; giving him the sensation of floating or weightlessness and tingling. This full body sensation was accompanied by an unusual and amazing thought process. Thought provoking ideas were running through Grant's mind at a pace that his brain couldn't keep up. His mind was making connections between concepts, structures, models, stuff, things, EVERYTHING that it had never before made; none the less even be noticeable outside of his current state of consciousness. Grant was able to connect a part of a whole to a different part of a different whole, and a different part of that whole to another different whole. It created a fast paced chain of thought focused on making connections between different things...
