Hey guys, you can call me Shadow46.
Mid 20s male from the eastern US with a massive appreciation for entheogens.
I used to be on here often a bit back under a different name but for certain reasons no longer wish to be associated with my old account. Also I'd like to look into getting my old accounts removed if possible. If I recall correctly, "Traveler" would be the one to contact about this ?
Onto my post ...
I've always had weird dreams. By that I don't mean "weird" as in weird things were occurring. For example, I'd define turning into a purple elephant and flying through space as "normal."
By weird I mean they feel totally different. My perspective is usually 1st person and I do not feel as though I'm "myself." The settings are usually indescribable and even when they are, it's very hard to recall the dreams after they occur.
Lately during these "weird" dreams it seems my body doesn't remain paralysed. I believe they call this "REM Behavior Disorder" where quite frequently (it's almost every night now) the body isn't prevented from acting out the dreams. If anyone really cares what's happening in them I'll post it but for now I'll skip over that part.
The "weird" dreams have also become much more violent than usual. The is leading to me hurting my partner in my sleep. It started off as small things like bending her hand and quickly progressed to where if I punch someone in my sleep, I punch her. If I choke someone ...
Furthermore, I'd wake up a lot quicker before when these events would occur. Now It can take me up to 10 seconds (we've been paying attention) to realize what is happening and wake up. This is really eating at me. Every time I wake up and realize what I've done I feel so bad. My girlfriend doesn't want to sleep in separate places though in-case you're wondering why I don't just sleep on the couch ...
I'm posting all of this because:
1) If anyone's dealt with this disorder and has any input - even non-DMT related - please share.
2) For lack of results with various OTC drugs, pot, alcohol, meditation, sleep deprivation, ... It got me thinking about a time-delayed pharmahuasca. A pill that wouldn't kick in until one has been asleep for 5-6 hours so that it's effects hitting during REM phase.
I wonder mostly if it'd give a person more lucidity/control while dreaming.
...
I suppose this is more of two posts in one but since they're related in my case ...
Any input? This matter is quite serious and I need to figure something out.
I figured, who better to ask than those that spend a good amount of time exploring their own minds?
Thanks in advance
