I think one of the more interesting points to come of it is below. I wonder how that will play out.

The biggest upshot of the legal loophole is that anyone prosecuted under the 1977 Misuse of Drugs Act from 1977-2015 was prosecuted under a law which has now been repealed.

The ruling was brought about by the High Court after a man who was charged of possessing methylethcathinone (a drug with similarities to mephedrone) argued that the way in which the drug was made illegal by in Ireland was unconstitutional.
