Is dmt supposed to be harsh when smoked in vaporizer?

Just tried dmt for the first time. Although I got some effects I didn't breakthrough and it's because I began doubting if it really was dmt... I mean the guy could have sold me anything...

I smoked it in vaporizer and it felt like menthol in my throat but at the same time harsh.

The smell reminds me of the smell at the dentist or in hospitals.


Does that sound like dmt?
 
around 50mg, but when i really felt it coming into me I kinda stopped cuz it was then I began thinking I could be smoking anything.

I've had it for about 4 months. Can dmt get old?

It was wrapped in foil and a bit sticky.
 
I would suggest that you familiarise yourself with extraction techniques as this will ensure a piece of mind regarding what it is that you're smoking.

In addition to that, it would be helpful for the community as a whole if DMT was not sold. By not buying it from someone we would be playing our part.

If it is not kept in a dark cold location DMT can oxidize rather quickly. The fact that it was an sticky likely means it was probably mostly oxidized to DMT-N-oxide. Which is active but reported to have a diminished effect. What Varun said is very important one should not sell this compound as it will only draw negative unwanted attention and then the media will blow it out of proportion and every idiot in the world will then want to try it. Funny how the government/prohibition creates the problems with drugs not the drugs themselves hugh? There is a lot of great information on this site I suggest one to check it out. Good luck.
