Is it possible to change the strength of Enhanced leaf? (changa)

My friend made some enhanced leaf with Pau D'arco. As it was a first time, he made it at 2:1 Darco:Spice. This has worked a treat, but he is now at the stage where he is ready to take on higher doses than his lungs can handle before the world spins away and smoking more becomes impossible. He told me he puts about 90mg in and just about clears it, so this equates to 30mg (or less) spice as pretty much a maximum journey.

He is going to make another batch at 1.5:1 or 1:1, but still has quite a bit of the 2:1 that will not get used. Can this be re-soaked in IPA and more spice added to bring the strength up? Would this work OK, or would there be a problem my friend has not thought of?

Yea that would be fine, if you have some harmala extract definitely put a little bit of that in there as well. Make 1:1 next time.
 
My personal philosophy with spice administration is to make more.

Don't forget to make different kinds of changa too, and you'll be rolling with the super deluxe.

I dunno if smoking Pau D'arco is the way I'd go, because of its uses in treating issue where tissue damage is of a concern. Influenza, cancer, herpes...anti-inflammatory. But that sounds fun nonetheless!

I'm about to re-enhance some leaf myself. Just doesn't pack the punch I had intended; no idea why. It was 1:1, but the spice must not have been great. Soon it will be 1:2. Yee-Haw!

Just a note, make sure you dry your leaf out thoroughly as it does have an effect on strength I've found.

@ Smokeydaze - I have found a source for Syrian Rue 10X, this is the right stuff, yeah? How much do you add to the mix and how long does it lengthen the experience for? Is it significantly stronger with this?

Weight out how much you have, figure out how much of that is DMT and then put maybe 1/2 of that syrian rue extract. It lengthens the experience by a small but decent amount, evens it out allot more as well.

I just mean smoking it before it's completely dry sometimes results in less effects. I've smoked a certain batch when it was kinda damp and was disappointed cause it was rather weak, then left it for like 3 weeks to dry and tried again and it completely blew me socks off!

1g spice : 0.5g rue extract : 0.5 D'arco

Or would it still be 1g D'arco?

Maybe 1gr Darco? 1.5gr to 0.5gr seems like alot to enhance onto that said amount herb. Be sure to weight that once it has dried, would be nice to see if darco can absorb all that spice and rue extract.
 
So the rue has to be absorbed into the D'arco as well right? (I thought it would absorb spice itself :oops: ) I think my friend will try approx 1g Darco : 0.8 spice : 0.4 rue, that should mean the D'arco doesn't get coated with anything rather than absorbing it. He'll try a small amount as a tester to start...
 
1664, I though you simply wanted to enhance your 2:1 batch with rue and make a new batch 1:1 without rue? That's what I would suggest you do anyway.

I meant keep it the same, ie 1g D'arco.

so you gonna re-enhance the leaf you have? then make a new batch with 1gr herb, 0.8 spice and 0.4 rue?

or re-enhance the current 2:1 batch with more spice and rue?

haha, all confused!!

The plan is to re-enhance the 2:1 he currenty has and add rue extract at the same time. He will try and re-enhance to 1gr D'arco, 0.8 spice and 0.4 rue. :)

To try and clear it up Smokeydaze - would this ratio be good IYO?
 
Thanks for the help man. I'll go for 0.3 as reccommended - what does "on the safe side" mean? Is there anything to be worried about when using 10X rue extract?
 
hmm well to be honest I was only referring to it having too much of an effect, I dunno.

But now that you mention its 10x rue extract, I don't actually know what that means :S

BUT .3 should be fine no matter what.
