Transform this is the exact question I’m looking to be answered. I live in Australia and Naphtha is not very accessible. The alternative and what I used for my extraction was Shelite.Make sure it evaporates cleanly.
There's a simple test for this - use clean paper tissues to wipe a mirror spotlessly clean, first with one moistened with a tiny bit of this naphtha then immediately afterwards with a fresh dry tissue. Then allow a small puddle of the naphtha to evaporate on the mirror.
It should leave no trace of 'tide lines' and no greasy marks.
The mirror should be spotlessly clean before doing this test, so if marks do appear after the test, try cleaning the mirror once more even more carefully and thoroughly before repeating the test.
Ideally, you also need to ensure dust can't land on the mirror during the evaporation.
And, welcome to the Nexus - where have you been all this time?
It can be ok but the good batches are few and far between, it's never a constant mix from the Big green shed stuff.Transform this is the exact question I’m looking to be answered. I live in Australia and Naphtha is not very accessible. The alternative and what I used for my extraction was Shelite.
Now I did a drop drip test and I actually thought that there was definitely a residue remaining. Although due to my lack of options I ended up using the shelite and I believe I can possibly taste it.
I wanted to know if you knew anything about Diggers Shellite and if clean or dirty.
Can you not obtain brake cleaning fluid in Australia? Are laypersons not allowed to clean their own disc brakes?Transform this is the exact question I’m looking to be answered. I live in Australia and Naphtha is not very accessible. The alternative and what I used for my extraction was Shelite.

I get a suspicion that they add the alcohol to the brake cleaning fluid to stop people from using it for extracting DMT, at least not without further processing. Looking on the bright side, this could be seen as encouraging people to improve their chemistry skills - separating alcohol from naphtha is far from being an insurmountable challenge. It's probably still easier to check the SDS of candidate solvents until you find one with a more suitable composition, however.I’m not sure exactly what you’re saying. When you mention they mix ethanol with the naphtha; for purposes of extraction how will this impact me?! Australia is the definition of a police state. You could hurt yourself with all these nasty flammable chemicals, better to take away all your access to anything that could be dangerous. Wrap me up in cotton wool and then take all my rights and privacy away and then the cherry on top, we just let em do it.
Sorry about that, hit a nerve.
