Well I haven't seen a thread about it on here yet, so I figured I'd ask first.
I was wondering what kind of acid is needed for this reaction to occur. I was told the PH must be down to 2 for the Hydrogen from the acid to get passed to the CBN's to complete the B ring to form delta thc 6(we normally smoke delta 9).
The only guide's for this that I have read say to use Sulfuric Acid. I am wondering if the sulfuric acid is a neccesity. Sulfuric acid is very dangerous, not food safe, and kind of hard to acquire.
Wouldn't Malic acid work just as good to lower the PH and pass the hydrogen(while the solution is suspended in an alcohol)? I was going to try this out, but my friend already used his trimmings to make brownies.
Any chemistry minded people have any guess or possibilities for an alternative acid to use?
Or even just basic isomerization tips/tricks.
