It feels like home... Part II.

NOTE: This was originally supposed to be part of my first post, but was still working on it at the time. It is by no means complete. It needs some refinements but I'm posting it anyway. Fuck it.

I don't consider this an essay per se. It's more like a bunch of thoughts cobbled together. The word essay sounds too academic and reeks of school. I hated school, but I've always loved learning. That is one reason swim wants to be part of this unique community, to learn. Another is to share that which is already learnt. Swim has always had a predisposition towards exploring states of consciousness and substances which alter it. He has a particular fondness for DMT, as it has changed his life in every way. He does not subscribe to any particular religion, but he knows there IS a greater something which is vastly more intelligent, powerful and creative than we can imagine or comprehend. Call it the Godhead, The Force, whatever. They are just labels to ascribe to that something.

Another thing, people make too big a deal over the concept of enlightenment. Enlightenment is not something to strive towards, It is not the end-all-be-all of spirituality, it is only a step to something greater and higher levels of understanding. Reality is indeed stranger than fiction. It is vastly more strange, bizarre, and complex than most people are willing to acknowledge. In a similar vein, there is a whole universe of wisdom, creativity, and knowledge inside your head just waiting to be tapped into and entheogenics are the tools to facilitate serious consciousness transformation. Swim regards Terence McKenna to be a major influence and his recorded lectures were instrumental in swim's entheogenic education.

Swim's first psychedelic experience was with LSD, several times in his teenage years, and it was very introspective, revealing, and beneficial but he felt there was much more to be explored. Acid found him, he didn't have to look for it. He was in the right place at the right time. LSD confirmed the suspicions he had about life and society since he was a boy. He always knew there was more to this existence than people would try to persuade him to believe. Even long before taking any psychedelics he began to question everything around him, and noticed the hypocrisy and superficiality that is so ubiquitous in the materialistic meat-grinder we call "modern" life. There are countless kindred souls out there who have been massively fucked by the system (swims self included), and who are longing for healing and DMT/Ayahuasca (along with LSD and other psychedelics) are a catalyst for major healing, spiritual transformation, and consciousness expansion. The fact that DMT is an "illegal" scheduled substance infuriates swim, as it shows the immaturity of a cold and vapid society that has long since turned it's back on consciousness development and the potential of human race at large.

Swim first learned of the existence of DMT 10 years ago. One night he was searching for a way to make acid after longing to have the same trip experiences during his high school years. Swim first dropped acid when he was 16. Acid was also the first drug and the first psychedelic he ever experienced, two years before smoking pot for the first time! Later on swim realised that altered states of consciousness were a natural thing for him and thus wanted to alter his consciousness in every way possible. Swim concluded that making his own LSD was beyond his ability, so he looked for a similar alternative. Soon he came upon morning glories. Those were nice at the time, but he wanted to go deeper.

Later while looking at some info on the net, he saw a reference to a something called DMT. Upon seeing the letters DMT, swim JUST KNEW he was on to something big, and that someday he would be experiencing it. Swim never saw that three letter abbreviation before so being the curious cat that he is, dug for more info. As swim followed link after link gathering more info on this mysterious substance, he inevitably found some trip reports to read. The trip descriptions were hard to believe. They were so amazing, beyond anything he imagined. Swim eventually found Rick Strassman's book (of course) and read it cover to cover several times. It is still a favourite. After reading about others experiences and what DMT has to offer, swim set out on the daunting task of procuring the spirit molecule. In the following year, swim wanted this molecule so bad, he resorted to growing Phalaris grass and trying to get something from it, but it didn't work out so well. All seemed hopeless, but then one night he was purusing Erowid and by chance he stumbled across Noman's STB tek, which was to become his ticket to Hyperspace. Swim located a supllier of MHRB and the rest is history.

Little did swim know that a few years later he would have pure DMT crystals in his hands, that elusive substance he dreamed about for so long. Then he had the first smoked dmt trip of his life. Like so many have reiterated, after the first smoke, life is no longer the same.

Besides discussing extractions, Swim would like to share his trip experiences and insights gained from tripping. Being unconventional and eccentric to begin with, it is difficult for swim to relate to other people, and finding like minded people around locally to talk about DMT and psychedelics is next to impossible, thus the desire for membership. Since the first smoked trip, swim has seen all manner of astonishing things, including a 3-dimensional rotating DNA molecule coming out of an alien city in the background; also, he has traveled through crystal labyrinths, seen his arms stretch to five times their normal length, floated through bizarre molecular-like structures, and has seen a few alien entities. Swim has had a few unpleasant episodes as well, but those are only few and far between. On both ayahuasca and smoked DMT, the "bad" trips amounted to coming face to face with a vast void of pure negativity, so horrific and utterly terrifying that swim gets the distinct feeling that something which is right around the corner could easily annihilate his soul. Fortunately, most of his experiences are in the positive. There is no such thing as a "bad" trip in my opinion. I learn something new from every single one of them.

After a breakthrough trip one looks at the world in in entirely different way. DMT is a gateway, a chemical key that unlocks doors which are seemingly normally locked. Here and everwhere in the Multiverse, Conciousness is the name of the game. And the "powers that be" are doing anything and everything to prevent people from becoming more aware of who they really are. There is a severe lack of awareness in the world and has been for a very long time. Ever since being on The Path, swim has been systematically annihilating his (few) addictions and negative behavioural tendencies, along with becoming less dependent on material things and becoming less egoic. DMT has played a huge role in that. Since working with the spirit molecule, swim has lost interest in weed and other substances. It has been over a year since he has used any non-psychedelic drug. Swim does not even drink or smoke cigarettes (he quit cigs and coffee many years ago, thanks to LSD). He simply has no desire for minor drugs and stimulants. The only thing he smokes nowadays is DMT. In fact he has developed an increasingly intimate relationship with the spirit molecule. He has an ineffable reverence for this wondrous molecule and the places it takes him.

To quote Arthur C. Clarke: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

DMT is THAT technology. "D.istinguished M.agickal T.echnology".

very nice :)

a lot one can relate to, like having few people to talk with about these things, not being interested in other non-psychedelic drugs, dmt feeling like its a doorway, etc

enjoy being a part of the community, im sure you'll learn a lot and also contribute to keep this amazing place bubbling with new energies!

Thanks for the compliment, endlessness. Btw, I like your avatar. I know some bits of this stuff have probably been iterated by others before. Swim has always had a problem with verbal language. He has difficulty translating his thoughts into language, as he processes information mainly with his intuitve senses and thinks in a mostly non-verbal/non-linear manner.
