Your life has been quite the amazing journey to date.  I do look forward to hearing about your upcoming trip to S. America.  It is my opinion that it is wise to defer use to entheogens until somewhat later in life, until one has "grown up" as you said, so I applaud your decision to do just that.  One should develop one's mind and fill it with neat stuff before trying to alter it or blowing it away, in my opinion, .

I encourage you to look around this place - there's even a dedicated ayahuasca subforum, including experience reports and brew recipes.  The Wiki is packed with juicy information, including lots of extraction teks.  Once you come back from your S. America trip you may want to pursue growing and/or brewing your own entheogens. . . .
