I've been encouraged to post about my experience with 'jungle spice' minus the actual DMT.
I can't give exact measurements but it was just about all I could possibly toke down, so it was plenty, lets put it that way.
I extracted some jungle with xylene, doing multiple rips with it after I had finished with the hexane after i was confident that all of the DMT was already extracted. The xylene yielded some dark red crumbly waxy substance, pretty much visually the same as the 'jungle' described here.
This material produced Dmt-like effect, but took noticeably more to actually take me to the DMT headspace. No doubt it was full of DMT, but did not taste particularly great. I suspect it's mostly impure DMT, and would not crystallize or produce a psychedelic effect if the DMT was removed.
I dissolved this material into distilled vinegar then added water and basified it with NaOH, extracting the remaining dregs of DMT (if any) with hexane, then extracting the remaining 'jungle' with xylene and evaporating it again.
This time the resulting gooey substance did not crystallize at all nor would it solidify after over a week and a half in the open air. The reddish color still remained. The taste of DMT was totally absent when vaping it, and I did not notice any obvious psychedelic effect. I did notice it was rather harsh taste and was not particularly easy on the lungs.
From this test from endlessness's results from analyzing this substance, I suspect that it is pretty much inactive, even if it does contain something noteworthy, it seems too small an amount to notice on it's own.
