Kudos to endlessness

Migrated topic.

Hi all,

I want to say that I consider endlessness as the best moderator: the comments are always moderated, not angry, always patient and helpful. ( I wish I could be that way...lol..)

Keep up the good work, and the best of luck.

Yet this brings me the the moderator topic. Maybe some standards can be set for moderators, and maybe we can vote on their performance? as we can vote for new members performance. And maybe endlessness can write a code of conduct for moderators.

You want to create competition? I love Endlessness and I think this place would not be the same at all without him (thanks budyy!! :) ), But I am not sure a rating system and ensuing "competition" is really in the spirit of the place.

Three cheers for Endlessness nevertheless (that's a lot of s's!)

Thanks :) but i`m not better than other mods and neither should be the one to decide any criteria. That`s up to The Traveler to decide how to run this whole thing :)

IMO the moderator team needs diversity, I think we have a great team with good and experienced people, each with their own uniqueness, all of which are doing this work because they truely want to help out.

And being humans, we can all make mistakes, and are willing to review our own actions if people give us fair feedback.

If you feel some moderator has acted unfairly or that another member isn`t acting in accordance to our attitudes, you can always try to explain your opinion in a constructive way in the relevant thread, or send a pm directly to the mod or member in question to try to find a solution through dialogue. Ultimately you can talk to Traveler, who gives the final word on every decision, but better try to solve it directly first in constructive ways. If the criticism is done in an accusatory confrontational tone, probably people are less likely to hear even if there is some truth somewhere in the argument. But if it`s done in a calm, respectful, constructive manner, chances are it will be taken in account and help make this a better place.

Bout time we had an endlessness appreciation thread!

Legend has it he was created under the full moon on the winter solstice by none other than kikker himself, and was to be of the first hyper dimensional humans to roam the earth ....(and feed on pineals)

Yup, end is pretty cool. :)

Lets not do this, we moderate this site as I see fit. Once the non-mods start to vote for mods and how they perform you will get a 'competition's we can do without.

It will only work as a divider to the DMT-Nexus since people can express how they are moderated by voting, an angry member that has just be punished for bad behavior will always try to setup people to not vote for a certain mod.

As the mod-team we already have enough drama to deal with as it is, so lets not start a popularity competition.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

Endlessness appreciation thread about Endlessness I hope becomes the definition of endlessness (the concept not the awesome moderator, poster, helper, and person). I too have to chime in with great appreciation and gratitude towards such a wonderful Nexian!

Here's to Endlessness :)

Certainly is an excellent moderator and all round good person, and the fact he loves bjj just tops off his list of great qualities IMO.
