Good day to one and all!

It has been observed that handedness can be associated with different abilities-make of that what you will.I have heard it said that people from the Andes feel left-handed people have spiritual capacities that right-handers dont and this has made me wonder how the division between right and left-handed people breaks down here at the Nexus.

Right-handedness is the 'norm' in 70-90% of people.

So, I wonder if you people would be so kind as to fill in the poll.

Im a firm believer in broadening ones knowledge- my tit-bit for the day is the existence of the word 'ambisinistrous', a word I had not come across before!

Take it easy and have a peaceful, productive day!

I love that the word sinister (threatening or portending evil, harm, or trouble; ominous, bad, evil, base, or wicked) comes from the latin word sinistra, which means left.

I also have noted the following: I work in a field that has many mathematically inclined people and what one might call 'brainy' people. An overwhelming number of them are lefties. I know a lot of lefties and they are very clever.

I'm ambidextrous. Always fun when you have to do a test for that and not only with the hands! Last times was with the eye specialist, he wanted to know which eye was dominant and every time he tried to test that, the eye which was closest to the test object was dominant. The same thing happened when he threw things at me, the hand closest by picked it out of the air in a reflex.

As a side note, my handwriting is VERY bad for both hands, probably because of me typing way too much on a keyboard. And as people in the chat probably already noticed, my writing style is 'clumsy': both my hands seem to have different ideas about which letter comes first, a serious synchronisation problem for me when typing fast.

Kind regards,

right and often wrong.

dream of being ambi.

think my 15 month old son is ambi.
daddy jealous. can barely wave with left. Damn useless appendage. good for balance though, so i'll keep it.

I picked ambidextrous. I write, paint, and eat with my left hand, but throw, bat, etc with my right. Never met anyone with similar attributes.

As an aside, My grandmother naturally started to write with her left hand, till she got to catholic school and the nuns taught her to use her right hand.

Also does anyone notice left handed people being more artistic, due to being more right brained. When i was in art school, our teacher asked whoever is left handed to raise their hand, and more than 75% of the class was. It was pretty weird.

So Soulfound is this left handed or ambidextrous, I voted ambidextrous, maybe it was left I should have choose.

I write, throw/bowl a ball and play snooker left-handed. I kick a ball, use a cricket bat, tennis racket and golf club right-handed.

I've always considered myself left-handed as I'm unable to write right-handed. I thought this was a requirement to be 'classified' ambidextrous - maybe I was wrong.
