I'm new to this site and want to get to know people interested in the same beauty of the mind.
I'm from Newyork state. I'm 20 years old. I'm hoping to find some friends to help me with my first few extractions, I'm new to the whole DIY process. I love to talk about anything relatable and share knowledge. I love to hear about people's creativity and share good energy. If you have any tips on beginner extractions let me know. I'm think about using the noman method for extracting. Any tips or feed back. I'm here. Word.

I've been researching everywhere I can. It seems to be so many different various ways of getting a good out come. There's so many threads and posts. I wish I just had a visual filter for the best methods. I considered making a brew instead, but actual crystals are more appealing. I only have 100 g powdered to mess with. Just to start. Plus, I'm very unfamiliar with all these abbreviations and stuff-_-. Ha I'm very new to the site.

STB means straight to base all you need is water, naptha, lye(Sodium Hydroxide-NaoH) (HANDLE WITH CARE!) and some research as said wouldn't hurt, its easier than acid base, and I was always able to get pure white to offwhite crystals from 100 gram pulls at at least 1%-1.2% so 100GM would produce 1 Gram or a little over.

Thank you for the layman's terms ha. And yeah that's what I read it would generate about a g. It's mostly a test to see how well I'm able to do it. I'm pretty confident in myself and I think I should be able to do it atleast without melting my arms off. Ha. Also, I've heard the quality of MHRB can vary greatly and it's hard to know what's good.

Hey Thankss a ton! Just what I was looking for. Pictures and everything. I'm going be using twice the amount of MHRB though, should I double the ingredients or just do two processes? Thanks again

If you are going for 100g bark just up everything by 50%...
Its all down to the amount of overall liquid that to have...1-1.2 litres should suffice for that amount of bark.
Stick with 50ml Naphtha pulls...an awful lot of spice will saturate a very small amount of solvent.

You will find that most comes out after 3 pulls (because of the salt addition)...but just keep pulling till so little freeze precipts that it's not worth the bother any more...Then the bark is depleted...(usually 5-6 pulls)

Overall liquid content - 1 - 1.2 litres
vinegar 80ml
Salt 45-50g
Lye 45-50g
Naphtha 50ml per pull

Water volumes can be approximated ... just top up with water if necessary to get to 1.2 litres...you will need a 2 litre glass bottle.
Wine bottles or fruit juice bottles are great.

OR:

Just do a 50g batch...it's very easy and only takes a day...upto 1g spice as an end result...then you will know what you are doing and be prepared for the next 50g...:thumb_up:

Honestly thank you so much! This is the method I will try for my first extraction. I'll try to snap a few pictures and keep you posted on the outcome. Thanks for all the helpful input. I can't wait to see how it works out. I'm very excited about the higher yield aspect too.
