Let's talk about the miniab cleaning method.
I often use the minilab wash method.
I take dmt crystals with impurities and put them in a solution of distilled water and acetic acid with a pH of 3 to 4.
The impurities come out in the form of oil, which I filter through a coffee filter.
After filtration, sodium hydroxide is added and extracted with light naphtha. The solution is placed in a freezer to evaporate and collect the dmt crystals.
I noticed that this method leaves a lot of dmt on the coffee filter. I then warmed up the acetic acid water and repeatedly collected the remaining dmt on the coffee filter.
Also, is it true that when doing the mini-ab cleaning method, sodium carbonate is fine instead of sodium hydroxide?Does it affect the recovery rate?
If there is another efficient mini-ab cleaning method, I would like to discuss and share it with everyone.
