limo in mesc

CALLING ALL CACTUS EXPERTS!!

I extracted my mesc with 106G store bought T. Peruvianus dr1ed chips. My yield so far (Phlux's HCL tech) is 1.54G after 5 pulls. I feel there is more in the cactus, and am doing a 6th pull. My reason for thinking this is that the d-limonene is very difficult to fully remove from the HCL water before evapping, so I am figuring my 1.45% yield is realistically probably closer to 1%, so there should be more in there.

A few tiny drops of limo remained in each pull, which were all combined and evapped together. A very rough (conjectural) estimate is that, once evaporated, about 1/4 - 1/3 of the mescaline HCL is actually Limo, putting the yield at 400mg limo + 1100mg mescaline to 500mg to 1000mg mescaline.

I have three questions:

1) What is a dosage range for PURE mescaline; erowid reports this:

Oral Mescaline HCl Dosages
Threshold 100 mg
Light 100 - 200 mg
Common 200 - 300 mg
Strong 300 - 500 mg
Heavy 500 - 700 mg

; is this chart reliable? what is your personal experience?

2) How toxic/unhealthy is eating d-limonene (in these quantities: 100- 500mg) ?

3) Can one redose? if I take 300mg, wait 2 hours and take 200 more, what are the drawbacks? I there any tolerance at all?

I am quite willing to clean or r-x the mesc, but was hoping to dose on monday, not leaving enough time. I am primarily looking to know that if I was to forgo this step, what would be the risks, knowing that there is likely a not-insignificant % of d-limo in my product.

Hi Jbark,

I don't know it for sure but I guess some excess d-limonene couldn't hurt one much. The sell the d-limonene in health supplements at 250mg extracted orange oil:

It's even proven that d-limonene reduces cancer tumors in rats big time. They are also suspecting orange terpene could be used as a chemo treatment for breast cancer in humans. Not that they will going to prescribe it as no one can make a reasonable profit out of that :

About the dosing I have yet to eat me own yield. But I've read a lot of stories about people spread the doses over two hours to reduce nausea so i doubt that that will form a problem.

Did you clean your Hcl after extraction or are you going to eat it as is?

Thanks Poekus. No the mesc is as is... I meant to clean it, but i have a rare free day tomorrow, which would be a shame to waste, so I had planned to do the mesc. Given the your feedback and a little reassurance in the chatroom, I will likely go ahead with it, unless someone comes forward with a BOLD CAVEAT!!

They say drinking 1 drop in a glass of soymilk is a good supplement. Probably many times more than that is safe. I think once the oil is diluted its much less irritating than pure limo.

To filter the limo out, I recommend cotton balls and a funnel or coffee filter holder (those funny cone things). Once the cotton balls get wet with polar solvent like water, they will not let NPs like limo through. You can pul your hcl pulls through cotton after pulling, or dissolve your salts in water and run it through cotton to remove any residual dried limo wax.

As ouro has pointed out, If you clean your mesc with boiling water and pour it through a funnel stuffed with cotton wool, the limo will float on top and then get stuck to the cotton wool (the cotton will also pick up some of the colored impurities).... Collect the hot water saturated with mesc and either evap it or pop it straight down the hatch (a great way to go)

I think the real magic to Mescaline only starts to come about at 500mg and up. Its a lovely glowing experience with mild oev's and enhanced colors up till that point, but 500 and above things start to get quite psychedelic and 3 hours into it there's a very magical feeling to the world around you.
