You are talking about the catholic church here guys. Remember their history. Support of most of the genocidal leaders of the western world for the last 1500 years, including many genocidal wars on often unsuspecting populations (they mostly did not get the blood on their hands themselves, but send the military forces of the particular time for the dirty work), brutal missionaries all over the place, complete anhilation of countless cultures and their religious and social systems and values (conquista), surpression of any open opposition in the occupied countries, constant fear mongering... And I could think of so much more...

And they did not even have the courtessy to really acknowledge much of that, let alone try to take resposibility for the damage they have done and try to reverse some of the consequences. (maybe with all the wealthes they robbed from the victims?)

They are really the most murderous association I can think of (given a broader time frame).

And they would have to do a lot more than kissing a few sick people, washing a foot or two and blessing some children. And that's certainly no reason to give them positive feedback.

Oh, and for entheogens... remember that they are widely responsible for the pursuit of their users. In the catholics world view, the only medium to the divine is by a priest and everything else is the devil...

I know nowadays many christians are really honest and decent people, even catholics :twisted: the above text is about the church itself, not about all of it's members. Of couse they still have a little responsibility participating in that high-priests-for-as-much-power-as-possible-club.

Well, enough about that, most of you probably are very aware of all that stuff. I just wished that all these people would stop needing that kind of organization for their spiritual needs and feeling of community.
