Here's what I'm working with. Note the Bic for scale. What do you guys think? From what I've read it should be just fine. But I did run into one problem that will keep me from trying this out tonight...

The fine copper mesh is a total fail. I went ahead with construction and after burning off the mesh, it just started crumbling all away. It left tons of nasty little grit on my fingers if I tried working with it by hand. I checked my dollar stores tonight as a last ditch effort and no choreboy/thick mesh. I will be ordering some online tonight.

PS What you see sticking out of the end is a plastic straw to aid in ripping the thing. I used a glass drill bit (it took forever!) to make the hole it is in. It constricts some air flow so I can't hit it too hard, but it delivers a solid steady stream. Does that work or should I remove the straw?

You know, Ice House, I've honestly been considering trying that. Just so I could try spice in some capacity tonight. I've really wanted to just try the spice all by itself with no other psychoactive extras, though. Hence my determination with the machine. I took another hunk of copper and burned it less and its a lot better than my first one, with minimal amounts of grit, but they are still there and worry me. I don't want to worry about anything my first time. Could it be that those little bits are normal?

If I were to try a bong sandwich, how much herb would I need on top of the deem, so as not to burn the deem, yet still vape it? Also does parsley truly work as a non-psychoactive herb? Does it have any flavor?

you can use a leaf from any tree, it dosent really matter. pack enough under it so it dosent pull through, pack enough on top that when you light the bowl you are lighting the plant matter which in turn vapes the dmt

You could try the good ole' fashioned Layer of ash, spice, ash sandwhich in the water pipe of choice.

That's what I did Kool-Aid, I was worried about the grit that kept coming off the mesh, but after a LOT of rolling it around it finally stopped coming off and I felt comfortable enough to try it.

...and WOW. I broke through on my 3rd and 4th tries. I watched as an insectoid/alien light-being crawled across my 3rd eye and looked into my soul like, "wtf are you doing here?" and then dismissed my presence. For the rest of the experience, I believe "ineffable" is the word.

So the mesh has grit? Like debris that comes off? I would say that is not good mesh. You need a thick mesh and you need to burn off the coating. There should be nothing coming off after you burn the mesh red hot.
