Now....wouldn't that be sensible to do more side-by-side comparisons? In your first post you did a NaCl versus sodium chloride comparison but you didn't keep on doing that.. I think you should do a triple comparison, i.e.

1. no salt of any sort added

2. NaCl

3. magnesium sulfate (obviously added in the same amount as NaCl)

Without side-by-side comparisons you really can infer very little from your results.
