Making caapi extract

Migrated topic.

Isn't the solvent so pretty when you shine a light in it and it glows blood red???

If i just take the top layer of solvent thats red will that be mostly alkaoids and not much chlorophil or whatever that looks like its pooling just above the leaf layer??

This way, perhaps my caapi smoking mix will be less harsh on the lungs if i dump the alkaloids from that top layer?

Pretty it is indeed:)

Im not sure if the chlorophil part has any alks in it, so ive never thrown that away. Dont want to be wasting precious caapi goodness by throwing anything away:)

You say the smoke is harsh? How are you smoking it, a water bong? If you got yourself a VG there would be no "smoke" and only vapor, this way no harshness on the lungs.

Not really harsh, just thinking, maybe if i can just dump the alks onto it rather then other stuff, that i can fit more dmt without it crystalizing?

Are you having problems getting the DMT soaked up by the leaf?

Im rather fond of the thick, juicy goodness that the 10x creates.

Not really, but rather that it breaks up into like clumpy ness and isnt really leafy anymore.. I don't even really have an issue im just curious as to what the difference would be just dumping the top red undisturbed layer ocmpared to all the chlorophyl and gunk thats on the bottom, if you get what im saying..

Could be like saying how dmt is different to jungle because of the different way its extracted.. get where im going with this?

Yip yip, I get ya:)

If you do go ahead and try this, make 2 blends, one with just the red layer and another small batch with just the bottom chlorophyl layer and see if there is any noticable difference.

Report back on your findings Eluna:)

For Caapi extract, what part of the plant do you use? Vine or leaves?

I did one changa with a vine extract and it was a horrendous experience. I was gripped violently with shivering, catatonic Ayahuasca anger and punishment. I felt like I was distinctly given the message to NEVER SMOKE THE VINE!! Just the leaves (which I use otherwise and are always blissful and heavenly). It tasted like sourdough bread, old leather boots, and my late Polish grandparents' house, whereas changa normally tastes wonderful.

So, I am curious. o_O

in the sun its red in the shadows its green... its just amazing.
the symbolism alone is mind blowing.
