Making DMT Citrate without Acetone

When making DMT Citrate using d-Limonene it seems counter-productive to use Acetone or MEK after getting so far with food safe products.

Is there a good way to make DMT Citrate or a good way to separate citric acid from DMT citrate with a food-grade solvent like alcohol or limonene?

Since citric acid is triprotic the following formula could be used to determine the amount of citric acid needed:

3(MolecularMassDMT/WeightDMT) = (MolecularMassCitricAcid/WeightCitricAcid]

The Molecular Mass for DMT as 188.269 and for Citric Acid as 192.14 are used in the calculations.

The calculation says for every 500mg of DMT 170mg of Citric Acid will be needed.

Would taking 80 proof vodka and mixing 500mg of Freebase DMT with 200mg of Citric Acid work for forming citrate salts?

The end result would be evaporated with a fan then put in a drying chamber filled with desiccant to yield 700mg of DMT Citrate.

Does this sound like it would work? Thanks for any input! :p

Can't you just add spice to orange juice?

You can add freebase to orange juice to make citrate salts for oral consumption. Hopefully the orange juice has enough acids to salt all the DMT.

This other technique would be for creating salts that are good for longer term storage + weighing doses.
