Without knowing my background, this may all come across as a little confusing. Until I get around to posting in the Introductory Essay section, suffice it to say that I am an Eastern Catholic. This no doubt heavily influences how I interpret the visions I've had.
1. Traveling to al-Quds
Time: 2+ years ago
Dosage: 5g B+ P. Cubensis
This was a very brief vision - I was on board some kind of skiff, a flying machine. Someone was standing next to me, but unseen by me. We were both standing on the back of this machine, looking backwards and down at bright, deep red and rolling sand dunes. Walking over the dunes were people, but we were far to high to see any details. The people would occasionally look up and wave at us, and they were all heading in the same direction.
2. Entering al-Quds
Time: 9 months ago
Dosage: 4.0g Quezon P. Cubensis
I was standing outside very high city walls. There was activity outside the walls, the bustle of some kind of market. The clay brick walls towered above me, and I walked towards them. I was aware of several people around me, all dressed in flowing robes, but dirty and worn. They walked with me through some of the stalls and we approached closer to the wall. I saw a large column in the wall, covered with clinging vines. One of my companions pushed some of the vines away and revealed carved into the wall was a cross. On seeing the cross my companions went (somehow) around the sides of the column - I had thought it part of the wall - and into the city walls. At the time I was struck by the powerful feeling that these people would die - and maybe did die - for the cross. It was their faith that allowed them around the column. I followed them into the city.
3. Dancing in the square
Time: 1 month ago
Dosage: 3.8g Quezon P. Cubensis
Soundtrack: "Sadats (Saints of Marrakesh)" from La Kahena by DJ Cheb i Sabbah
Much more linked to the music I was listening to at the time, but very intense. I'm standing in a large square, surrounded by high walls made by buildings of dwellings. I can see the windows and handing from them large colorful banners in red, blue, green, gold and more. The noise of the crowd fills my ears and I hear the musicians warm up their instruments. Suddenly comes the call to prayer and the music starts. I hear the voice of the leader of the dance echo around me, surround me, and everyone in the crowd raises their hands and starts to dance. I'm swaying back and forth to the call and response style of the music - I don't understand the words but I know they are words of prayer to the Most High. But He is also hearing and responding to our prayers, and we know it. The crowd is elated as the feeling of joy spreads through us - we know what we are doing is being heard and is pleasing to Him!
At the same time our external words are praising God in his power and glory, in our hearts - the hearts of everyone in the crowd - we are also praying to the Mystical Bridegroom to come to us, and He is coming to us, pouring his love into us.
4. Rooftop Worship
Time: 1 month ago, directly after (3) above
Dosage: 3.8g Quezon P. Qubensis
Soundtrack: "Toura Toura" from La Kahena by DJ Cheb i Sabbah
Immediately after dancing in the square, I find myself on a rooftop. A flat clay colored building, the rooftop offers a view of the city. I see the buildings adorned with banners and squares - several of the squares are filled with people. I hear distant music and chanting. Looking down at the roof it is covered with luxurious carpets of red, orange, brown and gold. The patterns are beautiful and detailed. I sit amongst several other people and we are facing the musicians. The prayer leader is holding an impossibly large oud and on either side of him are 2 drummers. They are almost shimmering and I can not quite see their forms. The leader strums the oud, the drummers start and he sings the first call of the prayer. We all start to sway to the call and response of the prayer and this time we are singing directly to the Bridegroom in our hearts. The words melt with the emotions that are flowing like molten gold into our hearts. The song goes on and on, and again the feeling that our worship is being reciprocated fills me. The song winds down and at the same time I leave my Mystical al-Quds, off to journey to other places.
I'm hoping this isn't too intense for a first post here at the Nexus. I've been keeping a log for several years of 'places' I visit while taking mushrooms - I hope to post some of them here over time.
