mass spec update

Migrated topic.
I had a connector off by one pin :?
it's operational now. I need a couple weeks before accepting samples. going to calibrate this week, and am on vacation next week.
-28 V fluctuates, but the instrument still functions. I'll work with it.

damn!
Well all in all good news, hope to hear another good update

yeah. I started having issues after I did annual maintenance, broke the quartz spacer rings.
then I had problems getting adequate vacuum to turn on the ion optics, so I swapped out the helium line, because the brass connector was galled. I fixed the vac leak yesterday, then re-inspected the PS, that’s when I noticed the connector issue.

once I get comm initialized (hopefully this evening), I’ll calibrate. I gotta run a certain melatonin [fungal] product this week, hopefully I’ll have results by NYD.

The multipole offset voltages passed tests, something that’s never happened since I bought the instrument.
