Rising Star
Hello fellow earthlings

Witnessing a speech at the The Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic In Amsterdam i became even more impressed by the DMT-nexus. Coming to this forum for some time now to be informed and read on people's experiences, seeing the presentation inspired me to make contributions to this gigantic project that DMT-nexus is. While a lot of speeches at the conference where fascinating This speech stood out because of the "opensourceness" of the data. I myself believe very strongly that a revival of the exploration and intelligent use of psychedelics in general has to go hand in hand with the fight for an open non-restricted and free internet.

Hoping to be of any interest to this global effort i present myself here today.

sincerely
Ben.

Ben - welcome to the DMT Nexus! I'm glad you found Raph's speech inspiring enough to come and join us and help us regain the legitimacy these plants deserve and once had. Welcome :)

Hey Ben, glad to have you here! As an attendee at that conference you most likely have some experience with psychedelics... Let's hear about some of it!

It is indeed safe to state that i have some experience with psychedelics. My first psychedelic i had when i was only 16 with mushrooms. Psy. are a life changer, from that day on i realized that our senses convey only a portion of reality. I'm sure that this changed me allot and altered my future so to speak butt i must add that, being 16, psychedelics and drugs in general were a recreational thing for me. I am quit a rational person who keeps a great amount of scepsis towards the paranormal.

So drugs stayed with me while getting older, butt always in a safe and controlled way. It never ruled over my life. Psychedelics were always my favorite, because they dealt with consciousness.

It is only since discovering the pineal gland by accident on the internet that i started to open myself much further for the mystical side of drugs. I did some research on the net about the pineal gland, soon discovered Rick Strassman off course and ordered the book about his studies on DMT. Since then it has been a wild ride of amazement and contemplation i must say.

Using DMT i must add that i didn't experience a breakthrough yet. I visited the kaleidoscopic palace about 6 times i guess and i do have a feeling of being percieved. I have the feeling that there clearly is someone in control (not me :)) . I would like to go further but i have patience, i tend to wait for the moment to arrive rather then seeking it. This is patience as well as a wee bit off fear i guess, because the times i did try DMT I could have inhaled more, so to speak, or take another pull but i'm a cautious person. :)

The end, for now.

Ben,

A very warm welcome to you. We have had a number of new members join as a result of a couple of recent conferences. :D

Please don't hesitate to dive right in, participate, post reports or questions, tell us about yourself, etc. I want to encourage you to check the incredibly valuable links in the upper right hand corner of the forum screens. The FAQ, Wiki and Health & Safety sections in particular are extremely rich and depth filled resources.

There are a number of wonderful posts about how to breakthrough as well as posts by members dealing with fear, working on smoking techniques, etc. I have a feeling you are going to like what you find here.

Again, welcome!

Hi Ben,

Thanks - I really love that image too. I did not create it but I feel a strong resonance to it - like she is my hyperspace alter-ego. Actually, I grabbed the image off of the site www.deviantart.com. At the time I grabbed it (couple/few years ago) it was called Dimethyltryptamine by Existential_Frontier or something similar . . . here's a bigger image:
