melted crystals

swim left some fairly solid off-white crystals in a small steel tin which was stored in a jar of rock salt. when he came back to examine the crystals (maybe a week later, maybe less), they had melted into a translucent yellow gooey stuff that was still partially solid.

apart from being a little peeved, he wonders what (chemically) happened to them? he assumes that they are safe, just melted, but wants to be sure. he is also pretty sure that the tin is steel, and that it may not be 100% airtight.

keep dmt out of warm places. it will melt into goop.

YOu can do 2 things...

You can smoke it. but if you do it would be wise to weigh your doses as it is much tougher to eyeball in the melted state. If your not careful you might get the suprise of your life! haha.

OR, you can heat up a small amount of naphtha/heptane, redissolve the goo into the solvent, and then recrystallize.

i'd go for the second option

Option two above is the best method if you want your crystals back....smoking the melted remnants isnt bad for you just harder to control dosages unles youre not concerned with such things

im having trouble separating the goo from the crystals. I got only the top layer of solvent out... freeze it.. then after separating the nahptha, Im left with crystal and a lot of goo.... but whenever I redissolve it in naphtha and refreeze, it just hardens again but does not separate the goo from the crystal. Any suggestions?
