Mescaline + antidepressants?

Migrated topic.

Anyone know if combining these two is safe? I'm specifically wondering about mescaline with Zoloft (sertraline) or Prozac (fluoxetine)

Safe, but SSRIs reduce the intensity of the trip. With mushrooms (similar), I find that being on 20mg of fluoxetine reduces intensity of trip 30 to 50%. Mescaline should be similar.

SWIM was on zoloft, way back and took what was supposed to be mescaline a few times and had pleasant experiences. I would agree that if anything the SSRI's will lessen the effects. Never the less, I'd be safe and try a fraction of a dose to make sure your cool.

You should probably ask your psychiatrist, and follow their advice... I would say dont use any other drugs when your on antidepresants. Take the time to heal your mind and get off them, once your back to normal functioning levels then you can start playing in this field again. Honestly, I cringe everytime I hear this question asked.

Take the time to Heal your mind naturally (excersize, healthy diet and positive behavioral changes) and work at getting off those antidepresants! With a bit of luck whatever your dealing with (mentally) at the moment isnt severely chemical in nature and you can start to experiment with deeper parts of your consiousness again in time... but for now just look after your self :)

If you look in tihkal there are some really interesting reports of harmine/harmaline being used in conjunction with mescaline to potentiate it considerably, actually really interesting because they were doses of around 100mg of mescaline, had very positive reports.
