Mescaline tartrate

Migrated topic.

Trying various acids for salting mescaline I came to tartaric acid. It seems to work quite well, suitable for recrystalization from water/acetone.
I still have to tweak the procedure somehow, as it is clearly visible that crystals are not uniform and pure.

Crystals were precipitated from xylene by addition of tartaric acid dissolved in small amount of ethanol, separated by filtration and re-x from water/ acetone mixture. It is most likely monomescaline tartrate.

Thanks :)
300 mg of acid was used to obtain 700mg of final product. Not really sure about all the calculations with molecular weights, but this seems quite a lot of acid for relatively small amount of product.
