mescaline tolerance?

Yesterday i drank another bowl of san-pedro tea. But instead of deep ayahuasca-like visions i had only an XTC-like feeling.
Could i have develloped a tolerance for mescaline in one week? the vendor i bought the cactus from has normally very good quality stuff.

No. Tolerance to mescaline doesn’t develop like that. You can take it everyday for a week and barely get any tolerance at all to it. In that way it’s very unlike LSD and shrooms.

Cactus potency varies dramatically, far more than any other herb I know of. That's the cause of your disappointment. If you extracted the mescaline and used known doses of mescaline, you wouldn’t have this issue.
