Messages from beyond

Hi all, I'm posting on behalf of a friend as he asked the question of me and I don't really know what the answers are.

To cut a long story short, a close friend had been interested in trying DMT for a good while, he eventually got the chance to do so and jumped on the opportunity. I was present, for re-assurance.

His first dose was ~20mg and he experienced something that has never happened to me.

He explained that he had some kind of 'examination', as though a being inspected his meat-wagon starting from his lower regions and moved upwards. As it got towards his head, it stopped and he subliminally got the word CANCER.

I attributed it to the fact that he had a small dose and it was probably his rational mind impregnating his trip with his thoughts and fears. He does have a fear of cancer, has had a few health scares in the past and now this is playing on his mind.

I know we all have different opinions on what happens when under the influence of DMT, is it just a chemical reaction in the brain causing us to hallucinate or are we actually tuning in to other dimensions. Are seeing things that aren't visible to the tiny spectrum of light which our eyes can see? Or is this molecule just taking a massive turd on our conciousness for 10 minutes?

Ultimately, I guess my question is this; have you received or perceived messages from beyond and if so, have you paid attention to them in any way? Have you had any matrix glitches and foresaw something?

I would hope he gets to a doctor soon to get examined. If it so happened to turn out that he has cancer in some lower part of his body, then there are still no claims that can be made, but it certainly would be suggestive evidence of hyperspace offering valid information that needs to be acted on.

I would go see a doctor, even if only to remove my fears about it all give me peace of mind.

There was an interesting case of a member here being very sick... and in the thralls of re-calibrating hyperspace one night they found themselves repeating this one word over and over automatically, a strange word they had never heard before: Hyper lori. Long story short when their blood test came back a few days later it showed what they had and it was basically the name they had been repeating in hyperspace. It was a "H.pylori" infection. Say it out loud and it sounds the same.

Even if it is just us engaging with our own individual subconscious in some insanely wacky way (though I personally doubt that is all it is), there is a lot of info in there that doesn't normally make it into our awareness, that much is certain.

Some of you sci fi fans might remember Philip K Dick's story about his correct diagnosis of his sons illness that ended up saving his life during his spontaneous psychedelic episode in 74' as well.

Anyways, this could have just have been a false fear-based projection, of course. Hopefully for your friends sake that is all it was.

Next, while it's fanciful to imagine that there are messages from omniscient spirits from beyond, let's face it: the most rational explanation is that DMT grabs things out of your own mind and pushes them back in your face.

For example, a friend of mine who was raised Catholic saw the Virgin Mary on DMT. It just works that way. And so, if your friend was already fearing cancer (for whatever reason) then DMT might extract that from his psyche and turn it into a medical examination.

I don't think there is anything rational about the idea that all of the unimaginably bizarre planets and dimensions and galaxies and beings and multi-dimensional shenanigans encountered on DMT is "grabbed from my mind" and regurgitated into some kind of free-wheeling montage. And why/how is all of that in there in the first place? For me it has been far too coherent, deep, alien, emotionally charged and meaningful, and intertwined with a gnosis beyond words to believe that explanation. I remain open minded to ideas though. So far non-locality makes the most sense to me, although I'm sure what is already in our minds (our thoughts, desires, experiences, and so on) can and does color the trip in big ways at the same time.

This is a discussion for another thread though perhaps. Albeit, one we've all beat to death before :d

well done. Please know that when I say "the most rational explanation" I do not mean the correct one! I mean, the explanation that fits best with what we think of as modern scientific/rationalist thinking. Don't ask me what the correct explanation is, I'm as baffled as the rest of us.

Then what you are saying is that your explanation is a rationalist one...not necessarily the most rational.
