Method that reduces the chance of nausea and vomiting (medical issues)

I have a medical condition (hiatal hernia) that makes vomiting really painful and even dangerous in the sense of worsening the condition.

I've been wanting to try orally active DMT for quite some time, but vomiting as regular part of the experience made me very reluctant.

Recently, I moved to a country where ingredients for traditional and modern brews/teks are readily available (vine, chacruna, mimosa, rue).

Could you please point me to some recipes/teks that focus on significantly reducing or removing the nausea altogether?
Having no extensive chemistry knowledge, the simpler, the better. If simple is not possible, then as simple as it can be :)

I'm ok with any ROA.

Hi there, and welcome to the nexus,

I’m not sure on what to advise here, there are many ways to minimize the risk of vomiting but non of come with a guarantee. So that leaves a risk, even when trying to prevent the purge. So some tips on preventing this are:

-Start with low doses and spread the dose over the course of an hour.
-Use clean harmalas without the tannins, so extract them.
-Practice with harmalas sublingual and then slowly move towards swallowing them, personally I really enjoy taking the harmalas in my mouth for some time and then when I’m thoroughly feeling them (I wave my hands to check for tracers) and then swallow the rest. Then 20 minutes later I take the dmt.
-Use extracted dmt rather then a mimosa tea. Tannins are your enemy.
-Practice with low doses to get the timing right.
-Don’t eat food for a couple of hours before dosing.
-Drink a ginger tea.

I personally don’t have experience with any anti nausea medication so I can’t comment on that.

With the tips applied I don’t feel nauseous or feel like I’m going to puke, but I feel it’s also a bit of practice that is involved. With high doses, traditional Aya, I almost always puke regardless of the preparation.

The question is whether the risks are worth the reward, there are many other psychedelics that can provide a beautiful experience that have a lower chance of causing you to vomit.

Good luck

We should always remember the Secret-Alchemist Club Anti-nausea Shot.

Here's something which came up with a quick search that may help point you in the right direction:

The only thing that has really seemed to help me is Limonene (or alternatively Lemon essential oil). I use 10 drops of the pure Limonene, or of the Lemon EO, in a capsule and i take it either with my Harmalas or a few hours beforehand. Ime Limonene may offset the come up of the DMT by a couple hours if taken close together but the DMT will unfold like it's supposed to afterwards, whereas when i've taken Limonene a few hours or so beforehand it doesn't offset the come up, the DMT kicks in like usual, and the nausea/vomiting is still gone. Another thing that may be worth trying would be taking a little bit of Clonidine if you can get ahold of it, as i've noticed a few times in the past taking Clonidine alongside Harmalas and DMT that the Clonidine may help get digestion going, however Clonidine is metabolized by CYP2D6 which Harmalas inhibit so if Clonidine and Harmalas are taken at the same time the Clonidine dosage may need to be reduced by half possibly down to a quarter to account for the increase in bioavailability due to the CYP2D6 inhibition. But overall i think i recommend Limonene (or Lemon EO).

Thanks for the advice everyone!

I initially thought that harmalas are the main purgatives in the combination, but now I'm hearing that mimosa/chacruna tea is too, as long as tannins are involved.
