Modified oil pipe. Would this work?

Hello everyone!

All of my DMT smoking experiences have been using a glass oil pipe. I find the oil pipe very tricky to use as It can get hot very quickly so feel that I am trying to 'keep up' with the pipe, almost letting it's unpredictability lead the direction of my trip. This leads to a very uncomfortable and very rushed onset which blows any chance of getting steady and evenly timed hits right out of the water.

I am seeking to find a smoking device/method where the balance between nothing happening and complete vaporisation isn't in a matter of seconds.

I have been looking at the machine and feel that it is definitely a method that I would enjoy using, however I do not own a glass drill and have recently moved to another part of the country so borrowing one from a mate would not be possible. This has lead me to adapt the basic concept of the machine and applied it to my oil pipe. I haven't tried it yet as I have recently come to the realisation that I am not quite at that point in my life where I am ready to commit to the BT, but I want to have everything ready for when I do.

I'd love to hear any thoughts it advice that you have on this pipe or if anyone has tried it or a similar method before.

you don't NEED a glass drill as long as the piece of glass has a curve or a edge...use a diamond coated file (they are cheap get em at hardware stores ect harbor freight has the cheep) you just need it to have a curve or a edge so the file has a place to start....I made 2 of these lil machienes the first was from a small corona bottle (smaller than the standard size I forget how big) stuff the steel wool in the neck took a file and filed out a hole on the bottom edge wich actually worked really well cause they have that texture around the bottom edge the file grabed nicely in between that...took a hollow copper tube and filed till it ALMOST fit...then tapped the end of the copper tube with a hammer to make it more oval than circular so it fit tight....then take anything to just cover the small air gap between parts of the glass and copper you could use clay or even something like electrical tape it wont get hot at that end....it took a total of maybe 15 mins to make!

It would seem that your pipe as adapted at present would be of a similar speed to the machine - as well it looks like an improvement over the basic oil pipe overall. Given that time is of the essence in administering an effective dose of DMT, using a lower dose might be a first approach in dealing with the rapidity of administration with your device. What amount were you thinking of trying? With the right technique, 30mg should do the job for most people.

Here is what I suggest: get hold of a glass pot pipe, just a regular glass spoon. Make a brillo filter like you did for your oil pipe, put it in the bowl, leave enough room up top for a nice pile of spice. Machine style pipe, with a carb, no glass drill needed. Look in smoke shops gas stations etc... These days you can pick up a piece for under five bucks, if the method suits you (it works very well for me) you can always pick up something nicer later.

I have a miniature wine bottle that i think would be perfect for this method, I will give it a try!

I have a 50mg dose pre worked out in a small vial for when I am ready to take the plunge. Maybe this is too much?

It wasn't like my other extractions which were light and fluffy though, this had a slightly noticeable darker tinge to it so I presume some of the weight will consist of impurity.

I think i'll give this a try if my machine attempt fails. I have a pickle rick pipe with a nice deep bowl that I think would be perfect for what you have specified.

What's funny, is that the first pipe you posted a picture of is also commonly called a pickle. I like the second one!!!
