Rising Star
This a fairly new one, a collage of some old paintings, manipulated fractal (made in Ultra Fractal and altered in Photoshop), and other elements I can't remember.
Insect Ganesha is a fractal fragment of God, and is responsible for the safe, successful transport of the molecule from the plant to the solvent to the dish to the pipe to my receptors - a long, circuitous route when you stop and think about it. Once the final chemical docking has been established, his job is done. He then sits back and watches my difficult journeys as if he's watching the Cartoon Network.
He's there silent in the living plant,
He guides the eyes and hands of those who harvest the bark,
He blesses the aged postmistress who hands me the package,
He swirls like a liquid snake through the lye and water and naphtha,
He chants sparkling, intricate crystals into the freezing kitchen pool,
He oversees precipitation and evaporation,
He sits beside me on the bed in the silent darkness,
He accompanies the neurotransmitter past my throat to my lungs, releasing prana,
He leads the way through vast networks of capillaries,
He bears witness to synaptic contact,
He smiles as the infinity of Mind unfolds within the speck that is my finite human form.
