Moving to Sweden

Hi everyone.
I am moving to Sweden from the UK in the next month or so.
Does anyone know what is the best brand/place to buy naptha from.

Dunno about naptha myself, I use Heptane which you can find in most paint stores. Ask for "chemically clean gasoline" and it should hopefully say it contains 100 % Heptane. The brand I use is called "DecoMax - Bensin," bensin is swedish for gasoline.

Yea, buy the naptha in your local supermarket. ICA, Coop, Willy's
The brand is called "Gripen" and the label is "Kemisk ren bensin" (chemically pure gasoline).
It looks like this and comes in 125ml bottles:

You can also buy NaOH in these store. It's called "Kaustiksoda" (caustic soda).

...and as for heptane: I called 4 paint stores in Stockholm and no one knew what it was so I settled for naptha instead.

Worth mentioning is that the paint shop I got it from didn't know what Heptane was either, but when I asked for chemically pure gasoline they gave me a 1 liter which contained 100 % Heptane.

I suggest you do not get Gripen from the food shops. It's extremely overpriced. I also suggest you don't get just any NaOH sold as Kaustiksoda since it isn't pure (excuse me if my memory fails me here).

The brands I use for both is Nitor, and it can be bought at Bauhaus, one of these large construction material stores.

Yes, as a few people stated: Nitor Heptane and caustic soda works fine IME(you can buy it at any hardware store).

Lets be discrete though.. Dont want no unwanted ideologists putting two and two together :roll:

I am not sure,i think the batch smelles more when using nitors compared to other batches.
But its probably not dangerous as long as you smoke it after som recryst.

Yes. Not personally but there are a few cases known. Make sure you don't have a lab or anything illegal if you order from abroad, there have been raids after confiscated MHRB and silly claims in line with 1kg MHRB = 1kg DMT (doesn't hold in court luckily) :surprised

As far as I know no one has been convicted though, but be prepared with excuses if they call/raid you for MHRB.

In the 70's some politician came up with a crazy idea that Sweden should be a drug free society (they are also aiming for zero deaths in trafic..) This naive idea is still the basis of narcotics politics here and police focus on users instead of dealers. You need to watch it, especially in the capital.

Swedish customs are in general very annoying and a law was passed last year that made it legal for them to throw away your stuff even if it's still perfectly legal. This and the fact that swedish people are very active on the RC market has now made it pretty difficult to get packages through from the UK.

That said, the punishments are not very harsh here, and unless you get caught with intent to sell the worst part of the punishment will be drug tests to keep your driving license.
