Music Festivals in Canada 2016

I'm new to Canada, just arrived in January, and just getting settled here in BC - and as summer approaches I wonder to myself: what great festivals should I attend this summer?

Looking for festivals, big and small, with a good, friendly and psychedelic vibe. Electronic music preferred - idm, psytrance, psyambient, chill, dub, bass, breakbeat, noise, whatever - not a fan of top 40, pop-electronica etc. Not a fan of massive festivals full of trashed, aggressive narcissists.

Main thing is that the place has a good vibe really. Workshops, performances, activities etc, a bonus. Camping would also be good.

I've looked at a handful of festivals online, and I don't mind having to travel - just wanted to hear some feedback from the community, get recommendations, even places to avoid etc.

Shambhala, Motion Notion, Basscoast, to name a few.

I'm going to Shambhala this year for the first time, I'm very excited! Never been to MoNo or Basscoast, though I plan to go next year. They all look amazing. Motion Notion appears to have a pretty big psychedelic influence.

Yeah, I realise now that so many have sold out

Last time I checked, I think Motion Notion and Luminosity were still selling tickets.

Shambhala and Basscoast looks awesome though! Still deciding on MoNo.
