Music/Sound on DMT

Migrated topic.

I am a musician and very much interested in using sound for triggering altered states of consciousness. I became rather prolific in that, released an album for the Hemi-Sync label, etc.

I always had very interesting and profound experiences with music/sound, both with the medicines or without.

The experience I had on DMT stood apart from the rest (cannabis, mushrooms, LSD, morphine in hospital - when the hospital machine's beeps synthesised music for me when I was on a morphine drip after an operation).

I heard a specific high pitched, sort of "crystalline" sound and the ordinary reality sounds became distorted in a way that made me think of time-stretching - they were sort of sloooowed down, "pixelated" or granulated... very much like the vocal effects in Sphongle's music - for example the vocal distortions at the beginning of this track:

When I listened to music it morphed synesthetically with the rest of the experience.

I am developing a new project - drone music that explores the saturation of space with sound and the overtones. I use double bass, cello and some processing... we did some preliminary recordings and I listened to them in the DMT state, where I got a clear message from the "aliens" (I perceive them as the real aliens, not the imagined, TV, anal probing ones :) ) that this is their language, that I can try to decipher, mimic it through that kind of droning, overtone rich sound... I don't know what to make of it, but I play around with the idea and use it for my artistic work. It makes me wonder more about other's experiences with sound. To find out about some regularities, similarities, repeat-ability of experience...

What do you hear in the DMT session, how does music or sound morph in your experience, do you keep track of music in breakthrough, what kind of sound/music did they play to you or what kind of sound was in other places, spaces...

I've always had a hunch that resonance and frequency are the absolute foundations of the universe. You've probably seen these, but if not, you should...

Great topic and thanks for mentioning it. I like the sound a lot. Sometimes when I dream I hear it ... and then the dream becomes even moTo me, the sound is high frequency, which first starts with the bell.re interesting.

To me, the sound is high frequency, which first starts with the bell. And after that i s puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Check the video at 3:12 (3 min. and 12 sec.) At 3:39 (3 min and 39 sec) you can there this puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu what i hear.

I believe there is definitely some sort of link with sound during a journey. It could be a form of communication I’m not sure. In most of my journeys I hear a steady tone in the background along with a very distinct “tune”. The best way I can describe it is a bubbly flute. It’s always the same and would love to one day see if I can create it on the computer. I just think now it’s Kokopelli playing me a tune while the entities show me their little tricks lol. I usually only hear this when there is no other music or distractions in my space but when I do hear it, it’s clear as day. It’s like the tune puts me in a spiritual trance.

IIYI....... that too is what I hear when I first start to blast off.... I actually find the start to a spice journey and an out of body experience to start with the same “hum” and body buzz

I have a strong passion for music production myself, especially synths and sine waves in the low octave. I recently had my first experiences with DMT using a JBL bluetooth speaker with LED patterned lights. 2nd Trip I used a track called 'Baku - Click Clack'.

I was put in a rave room with an entity that reminded me of a girl I met in South East Asia, she was dancing like a 'Hip Hop' girl dressed in urban clothing in front of a entrance to a black window, sticking her middle fingers up at me, her face morphing into demons from time to time, lip syncing 'Fuck you'.
The face's got closer each time, mouths wide open... I remember shouting out "OK!" Then opening my own mouth wide open like in a dentist's chair. The face's then started vomiting in my mouth. I just went along with it and didn't resist at all until when my jaw started to ache, I said "that's enough now" and closed my mouth. The 'faces' looked disappointed, but at that moment I saw an 'arm' of white light appear in the corner of my right eye, I lifted up my arm and said "I want to go with you". I turned my head to the right only to be lifted away from the rave room into some hyperspace that was showing me stars, trees, circles and views of oceans from high above.

Looking back I wonder if the change of scene could of been influenced by the next track in the playlist, called "Ambassadeurs - No Matter What". A more chilled but still bouncy track.

Maybe my friends are not impressed with my choice of frequencies, I will experiment with different ambiances and also silence in the future.
