I can relate to what you are saying! My sensitivity to psychedelics has increased over time. I get profound effects from such little amounts these days, it's great! I am also an artist/musician and I have speculated in the past that musicians have exercised abilities in regards to hyperspatial awareness...there is something about a musicians brain that seems to really be able to get down with the speed, precision, and information of hyperspace, more so than the average central nervous system.

I describe hyperspace as the "Cymatic synesthetic symphony of the self." In a nutshell... It is that, among many other things.
