MY FIRST POST

Migrated topic.

5 Dimensional Nick

"Full of multiversal flow!"
Dear Nexusers,

I am pleased to join this forum. My friend on this forum (not sure of his user name) said that this thing I wrote people here would LOVE. Also I "enjoy" smoking DMT on occasion!

Not got a lot to say about my experiences at the mo, save my first ever hit, which was huge was the most powerful experience of my whole life. I heard a quote about DMT saying that it was like "Load Universe into gun, aim at head, FIRE!". This is what my first smoke was like. I saw things I never even begun to imagine could exist, Alien planet vistas, hyper dimensional technology, other dimensions of space and time etc. It blew my frankly large use of all sort of hallucinogens into insignificance. Anyway. Nice to say hello to you all.
Here is the thing my friend said you'd like which is an extract from some discussion I was having on an artificial intelligence forum about how one could ever define what is "alive".

longmenshan wrote @ 1/31/2011 5:48:00 PM:

"the word conscious , intelligent is not what you have being thinking about

my idea is that true intelligence does not exist

but the traditional concept of intelligence still work, it is not so sacred ,holy as you may think to be, any thing(except man made machine) which we called life, should be called intelligent, because life is different from none-life materials"

life is different from non-life materials?

well... your saying a single cell organism is intelligent, or if not, at least alive?

where do you draw the line?

before single cell life there presumably was DNA, RNA, and organelles (little "organs" within cells) such as mitochondria, peroxisomes, lysosomes, nuclei and golgi apparati. all these are made of proteins, which are made of molecules, made of atoms, made of protons, neutrons, electrons etc.

these in turn are made of quarks etc.

given that the organelles themselves are in fact very complex structures and we keep splitting "fundamental" particles smaller and smaller, whereupon it is actually impossible to see their structure, could all these things be conscious, aware, intelligent, and/or complex in structure?

scientists have difficulty fitting viruses into their definition of life.

animism, one of the oldest religions on the planet held that all matter (rocks, trees, air, etc.) had a spirit.

there is nowhere to draw a line between life and non-life, and therefore intelligence and non-intelligence.

and i have no belief that intelligence or even life or myself is sacred and holy. EVERYTHING IS. or is not.

???

HOPE YOU ENJOY. see you around. 5DN

5DN,

Great to see you FINALLY joined the forum. Such an amazing and insightful intro, dude. As Journeyman said, you will fall in love with this place. So many like-minded people!

Hello 5 Dimensional Nick,

Welcome to the Nexus. Always great to have a new member sign up and write an Introduction Essay, :).

Though you mentioned that the spice blew your other experiences away, I'd love to learn which other entheogens you have tried.

Also, I'm always curious . . . did you extract your own spice? If not, do you intend to do so soon? There are a plethora of plant extraction teks to be found in the wiki. Truly invaluable knowledge base there.

Again, welcome to the Nexus.

Any friend of Kermit's is okay in my book. And your Maya piece in your other thread is really groovy.

Welcome to the Nexus.

I must finish my original first trip report.......

After the being shown the universe visuals (if calling it that even does it justice) I found myself in a room with no windows or doors, about 5 metres cubed. Within this room was the most intense shifting, folding in on themselves and generally ridiculous trippy things I have ever seen, which my body was a part of even though I kinda still had a body. There was this voice which said "you know why people said you shouldn't smoke DMT" (not everyone just a few friends) "because it is the final trip and you are now stuck in this room for LITERALLY eternity". Needless to say this was the most terrifying experience of my life. I literally thought I would never see anything, my family, friends, planet earth.... anything but this super trippy box for ever, and I was not happy. I felt like I fought it for a LONG time but then when I felt like I had kinda resigned myself to my fate suddenly I was back in my room. The elation I felt was the most powerful I had ever felt in my life.

This was not the end though. Next everything seemed covered in a layer of hard Perspex so I could not touch anything, nothing, I could not move anything or for example use my mobile phone, this freaked me too because I thought I would never be able to touch anything again, but less than the my previous imaginings. When this faded some weird thought occurred to me, maybe everyone in the world has disappeared and I'm all alone forever. I ran outside and saw my neighbour who I hugged, despite hating the man!!!

Basically the trip was strange because I went from the scariest feeling ever (the being trapped in an box forever) to the best feeling I ever had (being back to normal reality). Upon reflection I believe the spice was teaching me that there are many things in this world that I take for granted, which are truly gifts I should be grateful for considering the infinite other possible setups of reality (something that comes up a lot in my journeys). For example, being able to touch things, move them, interact with reality and most importantly other human beings!!!

Also although I have always enjoyed hallucinating and in some way always thought "wouldn't it be great to trip forever?" the box trip taught me once and for all that real normal life is an amazing gift too which is where I would rather spend most of my time with the odd psychedelic experience rather than be permatripping!

I hope you found this interesting, now off to the "weirdest trips" forum to post something there.

Thanks for welcoming me so well everyone.

Peace.

5DN.
