Dear Nexians,

I found a nice list of plastics and their compatibility with different chemicals:

I want to use a transparent tube in the process of cooking. So I am researching which plastics can be used with coleman fuel.

Most tubes are pvc. From studying the table on the website, I conclude that pvc tubes are compatible with Coleman Fuel. As Coleman Fuel is Aliphatic Hydrocarbon.

It would be great if someone more knowledgeable could give his or her opinion about my conclusion.

There is a thread here explaining why not to use plastics with hydrocarbon solvents.

I would stick to glass containers when using naphtha. Preferably with a glass or cork stopper. Glass being Better than cork.

It may be hard to come by or a little expensive, but your health is well worth the extra money.
