Namaste!

Rising Star
Namaste, Nexus Community!

This site is truly a cornucopia of knowledge which I have been partaking of for quite some time now, a student of chemistry and of the vine. I have been a frequent lurker of DMT Nexus, and enjoyed the presentation about it by one of it's members at Psychedemia in Philadelphia this year. My friend has utilized the teks here outside of the US for quite a while now and has found it to be an invaluable resource.

I never really had a reason to make an account, as I have always been just a student and there has always been plenty to read, I've never felt the need to post. I finally made an account in response to the MHRB crisis and a desire to learn more about what is the status of the issue and what I personally can do to help the site and the movement in this new age of difficulty that has been imposed. My relationship to my spirituality is important to me, and MHRB is important to my spirituality, my identity, my life, my mind.

I strive towards loving more and fearing less but I find myself a little bit afraid and in search of information and consolation. This is the beginning of my journey towards manifesting a solution. Now, if I could just stop panicking, that would be great.

Community is the focus of this forum imho. Before granting full membership, i think thats what is expected of new arrivals. If your intent is to just use the nexus's supplier section to find what you seek, then thats not focusing on the community aspect, which is the nucleus of what this site is about.

In no way am i implying what you are doing is just trying to get membership to find mhrb, but some do. The nursery, and "proving grounds" helps sort out who just wants to use the site, and who wants to contribute to the community. Once again, i'm just trying to explain why you are not able to immediately have access to supplier sections of the forum, not accusing you of joining with that intent only.

It may come off as elitist, and exclusionary to some, but you seem to realize that supplier forums are but a small aspect of the nexus. All the policy asks as i see it, is that a bit of effort is put forth to learn, share, and expand before hand.

Welcome to the nexus, and i hope you do contribute and share your knowledge.

"In the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make."

To quote the beatles

Or if you want the actual quote from mccartney, un-misquoted-

And in the end, the love you get is equal to the love you give

Day Tripper:

I did some journaling and introspection and have re-evaluated my motives and changed my original post in accordance with my new thoughts and realizations. Thank you for helping me realize that my momentary intentions were not in alignment with my true purpose! I really do appreciate what the DMT nexus is and my original post was not only not reflective of that, but was written from a place of panic and frustration, which is not a place from which I desire to act, and I sincerely apologize for any offense anyone who happened to read it took. After years of browsing I feel like I shamed myself by making that my first post.

I have always wanted to be a part of this. I am grateful that I was catalyzed into joining and hope to be a positive and active member in the weeks/months/years to come.

kittykittykat,

Welcome to the Nexus. Thanks for submitting an Introduction Essay. I also enjoyed seeing you in chat. As mentioned, being something of a crazy cat lady, I was a bit envious of your username. I look forward to seeing an avatar from you in the future.

Seems like lots of longtime lurkers are signing up for memberships these days and that makes me very happy indeed.

This is indeed a time of great change as well as a kind of forced evolution for the Nexus, what with the lack of MHRB access these days. The trend is into researching new plants and teks as well as growing our own entheogenic plants at home.

So, even if you are stuck in a wait and see mode as we move forward during this interesting time, I do hope you will post, participate, reply to posts and come back to chat as the urge arises.

Again, a warm welcome to you.

hello kittykittykat and welcome to the forums. i wouldn't worry about the mhrb problem, dmt is just so abundant that any sort of 'crackdown' on it will just further prove how silly it is to have such an abundant molecule scheduled and regulated. wish i would've made it the psychedemia conference since it was so close-by for me, didn't know they were having a nexus presentation. anyhow, welcome to the forums, and hopefully you'll stick around to contribute, which should quickly land you a promotion to full member.
