That's a lot of energy...
 
So Im guessing life is capable of surviving within that zone, seeing as our solar system is out on an edge of a spiral arm. This sounds shocking.
 
This is certainly an interesting discovery...and makes me think of Nassim Haramein's Unified Field Theory where he incorporated "spin" into Eienstien's Equations to get a more accurate picture of the way things work. These "bubbles" would fit into his theory quite well.

One common thing among Astrophysical theories is that they completely fail to account for spin in the universe. Everything spins, but most theories completely leave this essential property of space out of their calculations. What does make things spin?
