Hello to all on the DMT Nexus and first of all, thank you to everyone for all the help you have been to me as I try to learn all I can about this wonderful tool that is DMT. I have been useing psychoactives for about eight of my twenty years and during that time have encountered most of what the chemical world has to offer (with mixed results). I am a student in electrical engineering, a lifelong Deadhead, and within the last few years have gotten into the electronic/jam scene pretty heavily (so if anyone wants to talk Disco Biscuits feel free to PM). Recently, I've ceased use of many conventional psychedelics - I feel that I've taken them far too many times, expecially MDMA in conjunction with LSD, and now they leave me depressed and spun out for days after use and feeling foggy even after that.

However, DMT is unlike all the others. Not only is it possibly the most amazing and powerful trip I have ever experienced, but it leaves me feeling refreshed and happy. Not only that, but I am very interested in the nature of the substance, which despite its long and rich history of use is still almost completely foreign to us, and in its chemistry (a subject in which my personal expertise remains woefully inadequate).

I hope that my time here will be beneficial to both myself and to the forum, and invite anyone who has legitimate issue with one of my posts initiate a dialog... BUT I WILL NOT WASTE ANYONE'S TIME FIGHTING WITH TROLLS, please and thank you.

In closing, F*** tha Police and free Jon Sloan!!!

Hey, welcome to the nexus!

I think its a common theme in the nexus to have people who have used several kinds of drugs and have become more careful and respectful with their intake, realising the value of psychedelic substances like dmt. Dont worry about not being good (yet) with the chemistry side, all the information you want is here and you can slowly learn it all by reading the FAQ, the nexus WIKI and the forums in general. I know when I first started posting here my knowledge of chemistry was horrible, and I've learned so much (and still so much more to learn).

You know thats actually one of the cool things here, that people start posting and you see their development. Some people who at first didnt know anything about chemistry and these substances in general, soon enough are some of the most active contributing members to the community, giving feedback, suggestions, helping new people, making experiments, etc.. And its not only in terms of chemical knowledge, there's a lot of personal development running parallel too, I know I grew a lot as a person, because of, or in synergy with, the nexus.

So hope to see more from you around and see your path here too :)

By the way, I thought jon sloan was freed already... ?
