New mobile Vaporizer "Arizer Solo", has anyone used it?

I'm interested if anyone of you has tried spice with the new mobile vapo from Arizer, called Arizer Solo?

It looks like it has more potential than the Iolite, it runs on batteries and you can set the temperature on 7 levels. Plus the compartment is made out of glass.

These are the different temperature settings:

1. = 50°C
2. = 185°C
3. = 190°C
4. = 195°C
5. = 200°C
6. = 205°C
7. = 210°C

Looks like spice would melt down into the heating compartment when in position to smoke, no? Plus, just one more thing in my life to charge. These are the things that make me love the simplicity of the GVG so much.
 
just get the v tower with the battery pack. fully functional portable vape with full temp range and features.
this only goes to 210C. thats not that high. the v tower goes to 260, enabling u to get ALL the goodness ;)

I disagree, this has an all glass airway unlike the v tower or extreme q. 210C is over combustion for both spice and cannabis btw so the temperature is more than enough. Plus the solo has a larger vapor to air ratio, a very important aspect when considering the spice. 😉

After using my solo for the past 2 weeks, it might be ready to encounter the spice. I have had great success using this vaporizer with hash oil in addition to some bud so I think it should work well with DMT. I'm very hopeful; it actually seems like an ideal spice vaporizer to me. With a screen or two added to the bottom and some cannabis I can't imagine it going into the heating element. In fact, I'm more concerned about it creeping up but I doubt it'll be a problem if layered well.

Knowing how this vape works and having played with a variety of spice vaporizers leaves me very optimistic. I'll probably give it a go tonight or tomorrow! :d

Nice one! Keep us updated, please. I'm really curious. Do you think it will be easy to clean the Solo from spice? It is not going to be clogged with resin in places you cannot clean, right?

I think it would be very hard for spice to fall into the heating element if using a little precaution. If no screen and/or herb is used than I could see it potentially dripping down into places where it would be more difficult to clean but still manageable, I imagine. The only thing that should eventually need cleaning is the bowl/mouth piece - one solid glass piece.

Last night was busy for me so hopefully I'll give it a go tonight. :d
 
ehm.. actually dude, 210°C isnt above the combustion temperature of cannabis. i dont know where you got that from, but if that were true then i would not be able to vape bud at up to 250-260°C.
it starts to burn and combust at around 300°C IME. (depending on your inhalation strength/pulling power)
when burning, you are reaching temperatures of around 500-700°C

there are compounds in cannabis such as THCV, CBC, pulegone, a-terpineol, terpineol-4-ol and quercetin that ALL vape at higher than 210°C.

also, the v tower has an all glass on glass bowl, and the whip is made of 100% safe medical and food grade tubing. it doesnt off gas anything, and the unit is solid and extremely well made.
and the "vapour to air ratio" is great. lovely thick vapour hits, and a small bit of herb lasts ridiculously long in it.

just sayin..


ps- OP if you get either unit you could hold the unit upside down or on its side to avoid the spice melting down through the screens onto the element.

Why not use a copper mesh disk and melt your spice on it like with the GVG? Don't see why it wouldn't work. Also, the second temperature setting at 185C is more than hot enough to vape spice.

Sorry, should have been more clear, I actually meant that it is over the ideal vapor spectrum for Cannabis (which is far over the ideal spectrum for spice). I did not mean that you don't get any more vapor, I meant it is over the flashpoint for certain carcinogens - which defeats the purpose of using a vape imo.

Nothing wrong with the v-tower, I have used one and an extreme q and enjoyed it. It does drag the air through the machinery however and doesn't hit as well (smaller vapor to air ratio) when compared to the solo. The solo also has better heat retention imo, which in theory will make it a better choice for a spice vaporizer (along with the relatively small bowl).

Edit: thought I had a newer study that showed benzyne (or some other carcinogens) were being released around 185C. I can only find this study which points to benzyne and other carcinogens being released around 200C. http://www.cannabis-med.org/data/pdf/2001-03-04-7.pdf
 
I'd just like to let everyone know that spice does work in the solo! I only had enough spice for a trial run, not enough to blast off, but wanted to know how it worked. I thought it was excellent, I had the spice sandwiched between bud and a screen and held the solo upside down (don't think it was necessary) and took a few hits before being immersed in a very familiar world. :p

I can tell already that this will be a great spice vape! :d

Can't wait to play around with temp settings, you can also stick the end right in a GonG water piece!
 
Thank you Cosmic, excellent! I can sense that this will be a nice new tool for the Nexians. Have you owned or used a GVG before? Just want to know how you judge it against the Solo. I have a GVG and I'm very happy with it but I'm always open for new vaps, plus I really like the ease of use and the safe aspect of the Solo. Also my friend is looking for a new vap as he has lost his old one and in need of a replacement.

Yes I do have experience with the GVG. It's hard to say since I've only had one run with spice in the solo but I imagine it will be putting my GVG to rest. 8)
 
Hello,
based on this post, I decided to have my first ever DMT experience with the arizer solo.
As I have no other route of administration tested yet, its hard to compare.
I think it worked very well, but I still think there is potential to improve my technique.
For the first time I loaded 15 mg between layers of peppermint. The effects came suddenly after the second hit. What should I say, it was my first journey and it was great. Definetly not a breakthrough but I haver never see anything like this in terms of open eye visuals.
The next night, I loaded again with 25 mg of yellow crystals was the intention to keep the vape longer this time. I think the second real hit is the most important one. when I exhaled I could strongly feel the effects. I think I went for a third one but not sure on the intensity. I guess still no breakthrough, also the effects lasted longer and I enjoyed more.
What I think is good is the peppermint as it gives the vape a nice and fresh touch. Not harsh at all.
What I will try next time is to load less peppermint as I think it consumes to much of the temperature of the first hits. Also I´ll try to focus on the third hit, as I think its crucial to get everything out.
As I said, its hard to describe as it were my first two journeys. I could feel some sort of disappointment as I realised not breaking through the second time with 25 mg, although I had the feeling that I was close.

I was wondering after all your experiences, does the arizer solo contain a smell that doesn't get removed after vaping the DMT ?

could you vape weed in it afterwards without any problems ?

did you try sandwishing it with organic cotton, non bleached, sterile and no pesticides used ?

Did you find an easier device ?

QUESTION; Glad I found this post because I wanted to buy a oil burner pipe also called crack pipe to smoke dmt. BUT thanks to you that I decided not to and rather save my self that $$$$$$

My question thou what level/ temp. on my Arizer Solo should I burn the dmt sandwitch with, I will use sandwich with maybe mullein flower

which seems to be also good for; cough, whooping cough, tuberculosis, bronchitis, hoarseness, pneumonia, earaches, colds, chills, flu, swine flu, fever, allergies, tonsillitis, and sore throat. Other uses include asthma, diarrhea, colic, gastrointestinal bleeding, migraines, joint pain, and gout. It is also used as a sedative and as a diuretic to increase urine output.

I think it might be beneficial to smoke dmt because when it's said to be used for Asthma it might open up the lungs for a possible "break through" which I never had. Here is where I got the herbal information from;

I remember that different models have a little bit a difference with the temp levels.
A friend of mine told me he went to a website which mentioned serials # and different
temp levels.

@JacksonD34 I had the same experience after smoking dmt that it has a smell after it
but it went away after smoking other herbs with it!

Cosmic Rift Could you tell us a little bit more about how you did it, what level etc. heat temp.
