new "super earth" discovered 22 light years away

Migrated topic.
Very interesting! I wonder what the life forms would be like there. I also wonder if it has loads of exotic entheogens growing there? When's the next ship going? my cases are packed...

I heard about this. they also believe to found 2,200 other planets that are similar to earth but need more evidence to back it up. I think this find is going to change the way humans think in the long run.

Fascinating! A new earth to inhabit? Yes please!
Indeed it would be THE place to found Entheotopia.

I suppose this means we better start developping new &
infinitely more powerfull propulsion systems to be able
to travel there in a reasonable amount of time.
I've read here and there that there are new Plasma propulsion
systems that can go MUCH faster than the conventional propulsuion
systems used in present day space-travel. (Gusts of pressurised gas?)

I'm sure y'all remember the Hadron Collider speeding up a particle of
matter FASTER than the speed of light. Well, could new propulsionsystems
be developped based on the same way the Hardon Collider accelerates these
particles?

If so then we might just live to see this new Earth, on TV, picturres of
iin real life. If so, where do I sign up for migration to Earth 2? :D

You gotta wonder. I mean, did psychoactive substances influence us, our culture? I am sure thy did. But in the end, the state of affairs, the modern predicament we find ourselves in doesn't seem to show that the influence pf psychedelics had any utopian outcome.

Would we change our perspective? Or would we merely move our stupidity with us to a new world? We should learn to live in harmony with nature here first before we plan any expeditions in space. And it is funny how we look out there for new life while any human with a pipe and some DMT will meet one in seconds.
