Hey guys! im new to this forum but im excited that i joined. someone mentioned this site on shroomery so i decided to lurk around a bit. And i must say, you guys seem very intelligent and friendly. im excited to get to know you guys better.

a lil about me... i like nature, animals, gardening and of course, love entheogens. have lots of experience with a variety of psychedelics.


one of the main reasons i came here was to learn more about extractions. ive only done extremely simple ones like San pedro iso tar or iso hash. next up im gonna give the D-limonene tek a go. today i might try and make some harmine crystals.

anyway, im glad a found such a great new place to learn about the things i love most!

Im sure you'll enjoy the forum! As you may have noticed for now your posts are limited to this section of the forum, though you can read the rest... But just keep posting and soon enough new members get awarded full functionality :)

btw, how are you planning to make the harmine extraction?
 
i was planning on doing the sort of vague tek that was the first one in the harmine tek section. i have 100 grams but i think i may just start with 50 grams but i have to eyeball it cuz i dropped my scale on the tile floor and i have to send it back and get a new one which will probably take a few weeks.

but i may do it tomorow b/c im kinda fucked on codein and temazapam and gonna go smoke some cannabis. i realize this sounds kindaa fiendy or scummy but im in a ton of pain. my whole back is covered in cut and each bnrearth it take hurts my upper back like hell. i was mountain biking a tough trail today and my brakes got fucked up and i flew off the bike like 2 feet and the first thing to break my fall was my back! ontop of rocks too. for a few minutewes i could barely breath.

i had a question about passion flower and extracting it but i guess illwait until i can post in the appropriat forum. sorry for the spelling errors and rambling. my keyboard sucks and im a lil loopy

to extract harmalas I guess you are talking about syrian rue? I would recommend doing the manske 3x + final sodium carbonate precipitation.. If you dont know what it means I explain or find a thread that shows better. Just remember filtering rue is basically impossible, always decant on the fridge overnight instead...

I imagine the procedure is the same for caapi as rue? I've got tons of caapi lying around and I need to do something with it (never really had much luck with the traditional aya preps and since the discovery of our lovely FV it's just sitting here going to waste).

Has anyone tried a mimosa/caapi extraction together? In theory it should produce something nice...

Ive never tried extracting caapi but I cant see why the same proceedures would not work..I would give it a try. maybe even would be easier to filter than rue... Remember to break it as fine as possible or powder it before simmering/boiling (3x) to get as much out as possible

what do you mean with trying an extraction together? You mean boiling both together, and then extracting it all together? or doing side by side and then consuming extracts from both? or.. ?
 
I mean using say Jorkest's D-Limonene & Fumaric Acid Approach but adding powdered caapi to the mimosa, maybe in a 1:3 or 1:2 ratio. I don't see why I couldn't add caapi to the mix and extract all alks at once. Ideas?

hmmm, I wish I knew.. Im yet to try jorkest tek at all.. I have no idea how harmalas behave in terms of precipitation of fumarate in acetone and so on... Remember that some people seem to have issues of harmalas turning into some reddish, possibly inactive product when dissolved in acetone/alcohol, but maybe this is only when evaporating and the fumarate precipitation would prevent this from happening.

Maybe someone else will know about this... this deserves a new topic if you want to make, its an interesting question :)
 
its all good. i might go to a party later cuz my back temporarily cuz off codein ,temazapam and amazing weed and gabapentin.(which potentiats benzos)

I'm pretty sure it's not inactive, otherwise people wouldn't be getting anything off of their changa which they have used acetone to infuse with. But I can tell you it's nowhere near as potent as a water extracted harmaloid. Especially for oral use.
