never needed the acid soak for cactus - with fresh cactus cooking fixes that and now with lime - dry cactus is broken down easily - iv done it semi wet with cooked tea from fresh cactus with dlimo with good success - i doubt the water will make any diff other than perhaps a few extra pulls.
