Noob Question. Is Mimosa powder worth buying on eBay?

Migrated topic.

Mysterion

Rising Star
I haven't bought any Mimosa yet. I checked out eBay and saw a dealer there selling powdered bark. Anyone have experience with this? Or know a better bark dealer in the U.S.?

All info much appreciated.

Sorry for the noob mistake.

"Seller".

I had a feeling that eBay was not the place to go, but then again I'm a complete noob, so what can you expect? Thank you for your patience.

It's just that quite some people don't like to associate the spice with "your typical illegal drug" , me included. But there are quite some reputable sellers around...you don't have to go for dubious ebay sellers who try to take the spice into the mainstream. Moreover, ebay is known for working with leo.

No hard feelings... :d

Thank you brother.

Your initial reply also broke my noobness and led me to an interesting section on this site called, non-mysteriously, "Suppliers". Why I hadn't discovered this before I don't know but nonetheless, I learned all I needed to know.

Thanks again for the smack in the head.

Sometimes, a "short, sharp smack to the head" is what one needs to break the cycle. That's why I hear Zen masters carry a stick.

:)

I've only had great success from the seller's on ebay. Namely the one with initails S.H. Hope this helps.

Who is leo?

Secret Herbals is great, they also have a non-ebay site, FYI.

LEO is Law Enforcement Online, those wonderful people who spend time trolling through online transactions and whatnot looking to bust people for various offenses.

Why do you recommend buying on ebay? Everyone on here says not to get anything on ebay and than you recommend to get through ebay? sounds funny to me....

To my knowledge the best bark sellers operate outside of ebay. Also why make a transaction for MHRB on a public auction site... granted the risk is minimal, but it's all for nothing.

Because this seller i bought it from ships it fresh from Brasil.
Very good price + fresh yield.
That's why i recommend buying from him.

SWIM lives in Europe, where Bark usually is very expensive.
If SWIY lives in USA i'm not sure if ebay is the best option.

Well for European i strongly believe this seller is one of the best.

I hate eBay with a passion.

I would never buy anything from eBay. I also hate PayPal even more and most sellers on eBay only accept PayPal.

PayPal and eBay both turn people in to the authorities on a regular basis. PayPal also has a giant collection of lawsuits against them from sellers and buyers who've had their accounts and assets frozen illegally by PayPal. There's even a www.paypalsucks.com web site devoted to just how nasty PayPal actually is. All PayPal cares about is getting your money. They have screwed thousands of people over and ruined hundreds of businesses. They have so many vague rules that they can decide you “violated” their terms of use for just about anything they see fit if they decide they want to lock your assets so that they can use them for their own gain. They are a bunch of money hungry crooks.

eBay is so intimately involved with PayPal that they don’t allow any serious PayPal competitors like Google Checkout to be used on eBay.

eBay has a lot of scammers so BEWARE. Only buy from long time sellers with 1000+ sales and a good seller rating.

A very good reason NOT to use eBay to buy entheogens is that its very public. All sorts of people shop there, not just people interested in entheogens, so the likelihood of another buyer filing a legal complaint to the police is more likely to happen on eBay. I’ll give you an example. Lets say you have a NARC looking for a gift for his kids and he accidentally stumbles on an eBay seller who’s selling entheogens and then he looks at their products, doesn’t like what he sees and decides to inform his other NARC buddies. eBay is more than happy to help out NARCs and will do all they can to help you get busted for buying something from a vendor the NARC didn’t like.

Now if you bought from BBB instead, you can be sure only people interested in entheogens are shopping there. A NARC isn’t going to accidentally be shopping there. If a NARC visits that site and wants to cause trouble, the owners of BBB are not going to cooperate with them without a warrant or something similar. It’s a whole different ball game. BBB likes selling entheogens, eBay just likes making money and wants to stay out of legal trouble and will turn your ass in at the drop of a hat if a NARC bugs them.

I also noted that my package of secret herbals said that it was farmed in brazil. it makes me feel good to know that my 100 dollars is not helping destroy natural habitats and such. But also wonder if this is why the quality isn't as good.

Who are the best bark sellers soul food. In your opinion ?

I can understand what you are saying.
But first of all, greed is everywhere. Not only on ebay.
Second most auctions with questionable content are private. Nobody can look up, what i bought.
Third, as long as i buy legal products i don't have to fear anything.

You don’t mind the people working at eBay looking at what you bought in “private” and sharing that information freely with law enforcement? You have NO PRIVACY. Any guy working at eBay with access to your personal records knows exactly what you bought in your “private” purchases. Do you trust that they are on good terms with what you buy? Do you trust that they don’t mind you bought questionable items? Do you trust that they won’t turn you in? Do you trust that they even think entheogens are not the same as illegal drugs?

I think it’s very risky. eBay is way too mainstream and much more risky because of that.

The other thing that makes it risky is that some sellers on eBay are actually NARCs. People have been busted for buying items from eBay from NARCs in the past. That's the most disturbing part of using eBay.

So if buying from eBay, make sure you buy from a REAL vendor, and not a NARC or a scam artist.

What I don't like is that I've heard that eBay can make fake purchase history specifically for NARCs to make their shops look legitimate. You look at what they’re offering and see their positive feedback, buy something, and then…well, you get the picture. I’ve heard that eBay has done this before. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but it’s damn scary.

When i made ayuhausca, I purchased 1oz of jurema off of ebay, that was already grounded, and it worked marvelously. Just make sure that you look at the seller, and their reviews. Make sure that they have a lot of reviews. It is also easier if you bought it from an ebay seller from the US, because the sellers from out of the country have to go through customs, which is not difficult but sometimes very time consuming, considering that mimosa hostilis contains a schedual 1 chemical in it.
