not enough water or bunk bark

some one I know succesfully extracted a couple of years ago and was very succesfull with yeild and noy tried again with new bark and is getting no yeild atm only change in tek was less water it's a stb
would less water make no yeild
if it might be ph levels can he add more lye to bark sludge?

Other people with more experiece in stb will probably be better suited to help you, but I can already tell you that you will need to give some details;

A) How much bark?
B) MHRB or ACRB or something more exotic?
C) How much water did you add?
D) Did you happen to measure pH at any stage?

Most likelly you are following Noman's tek, but is still important to at least state that.
A very importarnt point is for the pH of the solution to be significantly higher than the pKa of DMT of 8.68. Using NaOH you are probably there, but is hard to know without any number.
Water is relAvant but I believe there is a very large margin of acceptable range.
Your extraction is the most likelly point where things went wrong asuming your source was legit.

Wait for a more experienced response but in the meanwhile try to recall aproximatelly what you did, what order and ammounts used, that will make troubleshooting much easier.

A good rule of thumb to follow is to match the powder gram for gram with lye, salt(if adding cybs salt tek )when going stb. Low water stb's are out there, watcha's tek uses way less water but still efective.

I would suggest going by what the dmt nexus FAQ suggests and go 1:1:15, bark:lye:water. Mg:mg:ml.

he thinks his bark is not active
he got in contact with his supplier and apparently it's 10:1mhrb extract
which means it must have been processed
maybe he will attempt raising lye by 10 but not sure if that will change anything
nomans with salt is used tek
if Raising lye changes anything that will be new info so will post
