novice extraction question

Good evening,
As I have stated in my first post: I will be doing my first extraction very soon.
I will be using the A/B with ACRB described by Thick-Light.

My Question is this: Once I have done my acid boils, What do I do with the left over
plant matter? Is it filtered out before the NaOh proccess? ...or do I use it?.
I know: newbie questions. Just want to get it right.

...it has been a fun journey thus far. exciting.

SWIM having just done that tek (more or less a hybrid of it), you disgard it. In SWIMS case he put it in freezer to maybe combine it with the next batch in case it wasn't totally spent.

Not sure what would happen if you just left it in and did pulls with it, but thinking of what the boils are supposed to do I don't think it is needed.

SWIM used vinegar for the acid boils.

The yield for the first pull was only a bit over 300mg of white fluff and almost the same amount of goo.

SWIM did a second pull but got very little white stuff and figured the 3rd pull wouldn't be worth it. Not sure why such the low amount.

I like to strain out the plant material with a T-shirt or other cloth.

Then wring it out with lots of force.

If you wring it out with enough force, you can make a nice sphere of spent bark. Give it time to dry until its very, very dry. I like to keep these and make pyramids out of the spheres.

The spheres tend to hold together extremely well.

I've also thought about making molds for the spent bark. For example a figurine of Anubis, then filling it with spent bark, compressing it, then letting it dry.
